It would seem that the only thing with no substance is your comment above. I am happy to wait for the comprehensive llist of activity in the TW2 postcode carried out by the club in the hope of attracting local residents to the game......
FWIW, I believe that the handing out of flyers to fans making their way to the Big House across the road in 2011 for the Barbarians v Australia match there on November 26th, is the one and only time the club attempted anything in the TW2 postcode.
They have begun placinf generic adverts in the free sheets surrounding Twickenham this year, but in reality, that horse has long bolted.
Feel free to put me right on my unsubstantiated asssertion...I look forward to the documented evidence to back up your claim.
[iBTW....David Huges is the one quoted as saying the locals aren't interested......how the would he know? He has presided over the worst period on and off the pitch in the clubs SL history....he has no interest in anything other than match day and being able to watch his "toy", he employed the current CEO on the basis of a recommendation and 1 interview, he appointed Rob Powell against the advice of everyone and has in all probability killed the club as a direct reult of his futile game of Chicken with the RFL over marketing the game in the SE....
...PLEASE...Tell me how I am supposed to take his comments about the residents of TW2 with anything other than a pinch of salt.[/i
I freely admit to the part [iabove [/ibeing my opinion regarding the role of DH in the decline of the club.....if you have an opinion that differs, then again, I have no doubt you will back it up with tales of the marketing and research done in Twickenham, conter evidence that he wasn't advised not to appoint Powell, he did actually interview more than 1 person for the CEO's position and he hasn't steadfastly refused to finance any meaningful marketing by the club.
