| Quote: Paddock Punter "I think it is absolute ballacks to talk of getting rid. The bloke has been dealt a really bad hand from the god of injury and has been blooding youngsters rather than getting the Aussies in. This crap about capitulation on Sunday!!! We played the second half with one sub - Golden ko'd, Bibb never came on and Temata didn't come back - presume his hammy went again. He didn't look clever at the end and boy when he was on did he make a difference. We ran out of gas.
Who would we bring in and with the cards that we have would they really make a difference? However if the club are making a conscious policy to go with the youth then I think we should be told so that we can stop all this angst. If we have to have pain to get gain then I can live with that. A lot of teams have been through it. Yes it would be tempting to get a Menzies or a Fitzgibbon in - but for me is that really the way to go?'"

| Anybody seen this weeks Boots and All the Tries yet as Barrie Mac has just just pointed out what a fantastic job
Brian Mac is doing down here. ? Praise also for Phil Jones.
Or is it a case of the Sky pundits finding the need to talk the game up at every opportunity. ?

Also had a row with a steward as the game ended regarding the vexed Salford fans who moved into our area at half time who decided to upset everyone in the area.Apparently the steward said it wasnt his fault , i should send an email to Harlequins rugby league.I then asked him his role on a matchday. He couldnt answer that either.
Having let the Salford fans into the area he then decided to steward the corner of the south stand well out of the way of the Salford fans just looking over at them. Not one of them got spoken to.
First time today I have actually felt like hitting an opposition fan due to their behaviour.'"
Grow up you muppet we were causing no harm to anyone. We swapped ends to see our team attack that way and cheer them on what's wrong with that? It used to happen all the time not so much anymore granted, but you still see it at some of the more traditional rugby league grounds. We had a sing song and celebrated a win, we got behind our team and had some good banter with the WAGS behind us all in light humour. The stewards didn't have a word with anyone because no one did anything wrong. I know you might not be used to fans getting behind their team and having a bit of fun in you rugby yawnion orientated ground, but that's what most rugby league fans do. Sorry if you are too stuck up your own backside to realise this.
As for the game, I must admit that it was two really poor teams and that has to be the worst Harlequins/London team that I've seen, you did have a few players out and I'm sure once you get them back you'll improve greatly.

What would you call it when we blow a 14-point lead against the 'worst side in the league'? A team who are, in the words of their own supporters, 'dire'?
I honestly have no idea why you're defending him. He has imposed on us a crass, unimaginative, one-dimensional style of rugby that magnifies our weaknesses. He's coached all the skill out of the team. He simply has to go.

Selectively pick out a bit of my post and leave out the fact that we only had 1 interchange body in the second half why don't you.

| We could have had 10 interchanges and still lost, our squad is pathetic.

But PP, the stats of who and what we had at the weekend only compound the awful stuff thats been going on since the middle of the last season. There has been no improvment in the team, in fact they are not playing like a team at all. We haven't had that many new ones that they need 'time to gel' that old chestnut trolled out previously.
They ALL, from the coach down look disheartened and are just playing like automatons. We need some heart and soul in the team and it starts at the top.

I'd argue it goes back further than then.
But what did we achieve in 2007 and 2008? 9th place, not very exciting rugby (despite having some very good players) falling away at the back end of the season (both times).
This is why I think it is time.

We've finished 3 places off bottom in each of his full seasons in charge. So he's been quite consistent in his failure.

| I've been too dejected to post until now, Sunday really was hitting the bottom of the barrell. This Saturday could be a humiliation.
In the past I've defended BM, saying he's working with what's available, but since the middle of last season we've just gone backwards, even the players we had hopes for have stopped progressing. LMS looks a shadow of the forward he promised to be, Clubb, as has been pointed out elsewhere was really showing promise, especially as a strong running second-row (and yes I know that's not the way BM wants us to play with his plodding forwards, but that doesn't make it any better), now he does look like someone whose been shunted about never getting to master one position before finally being shunted into centre as a last resort (if he was going to be regular centre we should never have constantly shifted him between wing, centre and second-row, especially given the way Gafa's form collapsed away). The recruitment has been poor, very poor for 2 seasons now, Dorn, Gale, James, Kaye, Nanyn, are all players who should have gone to/stayed in the lower divisions not us, yet one player who actually did play above his weight was Joe Mbu and we dumped him (for a second time FFS!!!). We don't have a single player with a field kicking game and it hurts. Signing Kyle Bibb won't give us a kicking game of any sort. Ward is not SL standard anymore. Karl T is our only SL standard prop at the moment and time is catching up with him (by god we miss him when he's not playing), whether Karl's absence is part of the problem with LMS is another matter. We lost 2 experienced props in Hecks and Haggy and never replaced them, that's a big problem, but I really, really don't see where we're going to find a kicking game, can we play Purdo there when he's back, can he do it? We can't play out the season without a kicking game and expect to win another match, it's that simple!
