| "No, that's not what I suggested at all.
Fans of the club will attend games, which is expected, but it is you happily marching towards a TK Membership, grinning from ear to ear whilst handing over the cash for your 12 month membership (or you'll pay the joining fee again)"
Where in any of my threads did I say I was going to get a membership deal?
Who says I am blindly accepting?
So if I turn up and pay to watch my team play then I am playing in to Gus's cunning plan! Whats that plan? folk watching London Broncos rugby league play rugby league.
so what are you suggesting? that I don't go because Gus is, well you decide what he is?
Tell you what we will go with your suggested plan of not condoning the club management way of doing things by not turning up! result no fans at all! result no club!
So am interested what you think! support the club or don't support em?

support them, but for god's sake, don't defend anything that is being delivered by the management as a beneficial new dawn....it is nothing other than a complete clusterf**k.
I want to be a London Broncos fan in 2016......a fan of a professional team flying the flag in SUPERLEAGUE for the sport.....with this convoluted hash of bollox and bullshit it isn't going to happen! "So am interested what you think! support the club or don't support em?'" ]

admin costs, excluding marketing costs £532,016.

Hi GF,
So Matchday revenue - (Admin + matchday costs) = -£433,260
So if I read that correctly, if the deal with TK results in a loss of less than nearly £1/2mil then the Broncos owner is better off financially. You havent included marketing so I don't know on that score.
Do you know the answer to these questions?
How much was marketing last year?
How much is Broncos paying TK for use of Hive and for admin marketing?
Everything I've heard out of Broncos management goes on about moving to the Hive is lowering cost base and helping to make Broncos live closer to within their means but without knowing the costs this year I can't tell.
The info I've heard says Broncos rent Underhill and have Admin staff there to support the playing side. It also says Broncos pay nothing for using The Hive for first team matches and there is a deal in place that should sufficent numbers come to games then the extra revenue made is shared. I don't know who's telling the truth tbh and I don't have enough evidence to prove either way so I'd be interested to know what info you have.

I did some quick calculations yesterday. Because of the joining fee, it still works out cheaper if I go to 9 home games next year and pay on the gate, than it would be to get membership (if I stand in one of the stands behind the sticks).
It's also worth remembering that, and I think this is correct, if you stop your membership at any point and then restart it again, you have to pay another joining fee.
I think the membership model is quite clever from a business perspective, but it's not one I'll be indulging in since I am highly unlikely to watch at least a quarter of our matches. I'm not going to bother watching us play the likes of Wigan or Warrington. I've seen quite enough of us being stuffed by 50, 60 points and fail to see how any of that will change in 2014 given the squad we're putting together.'"
100% spot on, especially the last part, I'll be going to the Salford, Widnes, KR and Bradford games, plus any others I can squeeze in. But the Pies, Leeds etc, nah.
However, remember the St Helens game last season, I'm glad I changed my mind on that one! The thrill of beating one of the Big Guns is so superior to winning against sides in the bottom half, really it is.

So with Solomona now confirmed it gives us a Squad of 19, still at least 6 players short.
Apart from 2 from Wigan, the rumour mill has dried up!
Oh dear'"
I think counting 19 is being a bit generous, about half of them are not experienced players but youngsters who were thrown in and points last season because we had nobody else, even our kolpaks are reserve grade players. Scott Moore and Matt Cook will be our "old heads", and Olsi is going to be our veteran prop, it is really quite scary. I'm all for giving young players a go, but you need a mix, and unless our next 6 signings are all decent experienced players then we risk bringing the game into disrepute by fielding a team that would struggle to beat some of the better Championship sides. How is it going to look if we get battered every week, we've seen where that has led for the last couple of seasons with weak squads, and this season's squad is looking like a Championship squad?

| Quote: meliferra "Hi GF,
So Matchday revenue - (Admin + matchday costs)
I don't have the figures from 2013, but I do have the financials from 2008-2012. What I can say is that there were a number of ways the club could reduce the losses they were incurring and the route they have taken would appear to be the one that involved the least amount of ingenuity and hard work.
In 2012 the London Broncos made an operating loss of just over £2.2 million. The revenue streams that they had, including RFL/SKY money, Tickets, corporates and sponsors was just under £2.2 million.
The outgoings included £300,000 in Marketing and marketing Wages, £530,000 in administration costs, £220,000 in match-day costs, £520,000 in Coaching costs????, £130,000 on the Academy and a whopping £2.7 million on "first team costs". I take it this last figure is for everything, including travel, accommodation etc and not that we are busting the cap by a million
The Move to the Hive is supposedly designed to reduce the burden on Mr Hughes, who in 2012 had to find £2.2 million.
We have little if any Admin staff left after the "cull" at the end of the season, wrapped up in a blanket of bull called "redundancies", which would account for £530,000 in administration costs (not counting Gus's salary of course).
Match day expenses that were £220,000 are apparently included in this new dawn.
Marketing is supposedly the responsibility of the Hive now, so another £300,000 saved there.
Not sure about the academy at present, but let's leave them out of this for now, so based on 2012, the move to the Hive has cut costs by £1,050,000 in return for giving up income of £550,000.
£500,000 is the supposed benefit of this move (I don't know how much we are paying for underhill). at £30 a visit to the club, in match day ticketing and residual takings, that is 1,282 more fans per game......Gus has shed 1,167 fans from each game over 3 seasons......Hmmmm
So, it could be argued that to make up for the total and abject failure of the club to attract fans....in fact, their success in shedding them, Gus fired everyone in sight and is instead, paying rent on a new office and training pitch whilst passing all responsibility for commercial activity to the new landlord.
If it was an episode of the BBC programme Hustle, it would be up for a BAFTA!
