Definitely yes, for those who have not broken up for Christmas, which I would suggest are the majority. I take it you dont have kids.

The fact that the irony of the above statement obviously escapes you does indicate that if the red nose fits ...

I don't have kids but you should take up the issue of their attendance (or otherwise) with micky who seems to think the club are laying on bouncy castles for them.

The only issue is you inferring that social services should be engaged as children were being taken out of school to go to the Open Day. That was borne out of pure ignorance and a desire to once again have a pop.
The club have been very clear on what's going on. There was no mention of bouncy castles, face painting, etc, etc. Funnily enough, most kids have not been tainted by your cynical view of London Broncos and are quite happy with the idea of watching players they admire, train and do Q&A. These are the next generation of fans - cue the completely predictable 'there wont be a club to support' response - and hopefully the club realise that engaging youngsters is just as important as trying to engage old has beens like yourself.
I for one long for the days of the Stoop and Brentford when the crowd was peppered with youngsters rather than the forlorn old school we have at present, myself included.

| Cowgirl, you take great offence when people put words in your mouth, but yet again you feel the need to do it for someone else, who mentioned bouncy castles? Certainly not me, I merely stated that there was nothing on the Web site that said kids could not go! I notice you conveniently ignored the question of what you were implying. For what it's worth virtually every school in Ealing finishes this Fri, as I would suggest nearly every school in the country does so if it's the suggestion that it's about non attendance that's rubbish so what are you suggesting

| Just a few of my thoughts on the logic of the day they chose for the event. This sat was out Ealing have a home game, Sunday it is last shopping weekend before the whole Xmas thing which am sure would have put some off. I don't know the training schedule but I would guess it's in the week so it's a normal training day makes sense on that, not sure what financial arrangements are with Ealing but maybe the cost of a Sunday event was a factor as it does need staffing at Ealing.
Yep some folk are put off as it's a Monday, but all the schools are off so it's one days holiday activities sorted.
It does mean the shirts are available before Xmas for those that can't survive without email.
It's like anything, some will like it some will not.
Am sure those of us that can go will enjoy the day, those that can't will get feedback if they want it, and then those that whinge and moan about every single thing will do just that.

Like I said take it up with micky.
He was the one equating a RFL event run primarily for children with an "Open Day" for the "forlorn old school"*
* Wish I'd coined that phrase as it sums up the decimated fanbase to a tee.

| It's way early in the day for me as I don't finish work until 3m, so I'll be there for 4, still I'm only after a shirt!

Lovely piece of apologismicon_wink.gif but personally I would have been much more likely to go if it held were this Saturday and combined with an Ealing home game. Might also raise some interest among the Ealing fans. It's not like the pitch could be damaged.

The further down David Hughes drags the club it does seem to be like Invasion of the Jaybsnatchers.

| Or it could just be the club have organised the event for their links to the Ealing business community which is a 12:00. After which the doors are open to supporters.

Says it all really.
You can go so Monday is fine.
Those of us who can't make it through work commitments and suggest it isn't a good idea are whingers and moaners (is this a step up or step down from being fairweather fans?)

| Sarf Essex you are being selective
I saud those that cant go will get feddback, i then said there is the third group of whingers and whiners who woukd complain whatever day it was and however it was run, and have already stated they dont go yo this sort of event. If you want to join that camp then fine.
It's a training session team and kit launch, not sure how anyone would expect them to do it on the day Ealing have a game
Anyone notice they are having kids entertainment? Cowgirl you still haven't told anyone what you were implying

| I got an email from tom someone or another asking me again to register. Alas, I can't make it, but it is good to know that the ealing networking event is part of the open day......given tom someone or other owns a networking company.
Monday, Sunday, whatever day........what matters is how long our benefactor can be bothered putting his hand in his pocket, because when that stops, everything else turns to custard!

So there will be bouncy castles? We haven't enjoyed the (occasional) use of one of those since Kaufusi.
