I'd have been tempted if the move to Newport had happened.

We offloaded more in the wakey game than we had in a long while.
Considering how undercooked we were this preseason ( which is a fault of its own and not an excuse) I'll take the wakey performance and reckon we'll definitely improve from there. Add the fact that our best players will be coming into the squad as the season progresses and I reckon we'll be one of the sides making a strong run at the end of the season rather than be one of the ones that fade away as the season progresses.

I agree with this - we showed signs of promise, ok some things need to change but we need a starting point to base this on.

I would rather go to a game each week being optimistic than wondering what is going to go wrong.

I don't sit there with rose tinted glasses on, but i could certainly see positives in the wakefield game.

Spot on. If the players and coach had the same negative attitude as some on here there wouldn't be any point in turning up at all. Obviously we have too many players missing right now, but overall I don't think the squad is significantly weaker than that which won ten of the first fifteen matches last year. Robinson is the major loss, but that's surely offset by the arrival of Jones-Bishop albeit in a totally different area of the team.

But not in today's 17.

Thouroughly depressed at the moment. With the coach seemingly making excuses, the RFL making it clear we need more bums on seats and the longest losing streak I can remember, I fear for Quins RL survival if this continues....something's gotta give. Catalans is a MUST win for the coach or we should be looking to remove him or get an "assistant" in at the very least.
I admit that we are missing some key players, but all the hard work being done to get people through the doors will come to nothing unless the team can get it right on the pitch. People can point out that we lack some grunt, but that's the hand we have been dealt this year...lose to the Frogs and Salford will be looking forward to ther trip south......a wooden spoon decider in March FFS.......
