One thing is certain if we have a thiner squad than last year, which is what it looks like, we will do worse. Not least because others have strengthened. We’ve lost our 2 stand out players in Hankinson and Miski and I doubt the Academy will fill that gap and by the sound of things getting in big units, which we had few enough anyway before the departure of Richards and Baverette and one assumes Gwaze, is a challenge for all teams across the pyramid which is why so many have been signed up already by less reticent teams. Sigh.

He makes mistakes, no question but is one of our more experienced home grown products and is capable of good things.
If he weighs it up and thinks part time in Batley is a better option that does set off alarm bells.

Yep Crash that is my point exactly. There is only a finite number of our squad that can go back to college to remain at a PT Broncos. What happens when they graduate.

That’s true and the consensus on here is he was not all that but I would have thought he was nearer the finished article than the Academy has currently. However as Curtisnsays perhaps we are about to swoop for some quality in which case if funds are short fair enough but if we couldn’t match Bartley’s offer or he thought Batley was a better option that wouldn’t be great.
