Well....A wins a win I guess but the lads were a bit flat today....Toulouse last week was a fantastic result and it must have been hard to get as "up" for it today....Losing Will Bartheu is a worry....Saw him on crutches at final whistle....

chatting to one of the players and he was at a loss to what was happening saying more errors in that game than the last 6 or 7 total.

I don't think the guys got up again after the efforts of last week. The defence was laboured, passing poor, decision making at times terrible. That said Fev played very well. Played a basic game rolling 10 big forwards up the middle for 80 backed up by some good kicks from 7 on the end of the sets. We must have dropped out 6-8 times from under our sticks. We were bullied for long periods in that game. The forwards need to step up.

Maybe Hendo could have mixed the team up a bit from last week.

Willies injury is a worry. Saw him on crutches after the game.

Not 100% I did ask as he was hobbling off the field at full time if it was same injury as last year, thought it was his foot, I think it was actually a thigh injury as that was strapped.

A win is a win even when it is lack lustre and poor. However if we are going to have a poor performance and it is inevitable that we would somewhere along the line I would rather this week than next week. We got the points and Featherstone for 3 games in eight days did not make it easy.

It showed that we do not have to be at our absolute best in order to win even against the better sides. Even though we created very little as a team we now have the individuals that can turn a game and that's exactly what happened. Fev still have to play HKR and Toulouse so those are going to be very difficult games for all concerned

The disappointing thing with Sunday was the fact fev were on there 3rd game in 8 days and they came out out enthused us. The walker try was a joy to see though and if that's how we have to win em then fine by me.

We always was going to have to have a poor game at some stage before the eights, and this one + Sheffield are the ones where I thought we would come unstuck... But we are winning when we are not playing well, which is the major change in the team over the last 2 seasons.


Still remember being at the stoop up by 3 scores vs Hull I think, 5 mins left and we still managed to lose... So glad it looks like those days are well and truely behind us.
