Will the new guy be looking for a run in the halves?

Its a funny one this. We have had Eliab here as the first choice 6 for months now and he hasnt had a sniff / got fit. Api turns up and is possibly in line for a start. What does that tell us ?

I dont really think the Bussey at 6 option has worked, we've got by because of the creativity of Barthau.

For me Leatherbarrow and if Api is fully fit, give him a go, if not Cunningham.

Regardless, we need the pack to dominate.

Both were pretty good in probably the best Skolars performance I've seen, especially the first half - although some of Jamie's offloads were optimistic at best (the ones that came off were good though), which ultimately resulted in a yellow card for persisting with questioning a forward pass decision. Brightly Izzy's running was strong, and he closed down play fast and strongly - finally showing some of what we all believe he's got in the locker.

Matt Davis has his operation tomorrow, hope it all goes well for him.

Chatted with willy b on Sunday said he just went over on it in training bit of an issue with the plastic pitch. He took the support boot off his ankle looked pretty bruised.

Any idea on when he'll be back on the field?

Willie Barthau had surgery yesterday on his ankle. Came through OK. Out for 12 weeks, so possibly back before end of season if it all works out.

Barthau being out for longer than we'd hoped is a blow but we've been OK in the halves in his absence.
Two to return and Api signed so perhaps no need to push the panic button- that said we could do without any others copping a nasty one!
