He injured his knee in the win against Swinton and missed the Leigh game because of it. He was set to play against Workington but re-aggravated the same knee during the warmup & was pulled last minute. I wasn't aware the damage required surgery until now. Damn....

Gutted. Is it confirmed how bad?? I make that a squad of 27. Pointer and Gray on loan at Skolars for the season, that's 25. Stapleton out makes 24. That is too small a squad for me with Lovegrove gone as well. I know Hendo said no dual reg this year but we might need a couple on loan this season.

We are looking short on cover in the outside backs. I think it is an area Henfo will be looking to strengthen. Must be someone of Stspleton's quality however.

Well we've had the Northerner go back home ticked off the list of things that always happen early in the Broncos season- I suppose this ticks the ' key player gets serious injury that could keep him out all season ' box doesn't it?
Sounds a real shame, haven't seen him play in the flesh but I gather he's pure class.

Just a thought; Mason Caton-Brown, seems like he is on the outer at Salford. Loan to us with a view to a recall if Salford need or want him. Hardly a dual-reg, more a return of a local junior who needs game time to finalise his schooling. Broncos the place for him? Also linked with Huddersfield but why shouldn't the premier London club be interested in a quality Londoner.

That's a very interesting thought, but am sure he would want to stay in super league. Also I think coaches have to agree to put loan players straight into the team. So only good if we get more injuries |
