Sad to read that. I recall he wrote a book a few years ago about the founding of Fulham (published by Poplar's lot I think). A true rugby league man. Are the club planning to mark his passing in any way?

Very sad news, RIP Harold Genders.
As SE Taff says hopefully the club will mark his sad passing at this weekend's game.

The Club is planning a minute's silence at the game; subject to RFL approval.

A real Gentleman, got to interview him at the Wigan opening match at Fulham, I was just a teenager radio sports reporter and nothing was too much trouble. Rest in Peace Mr Harold Genders a True Visionary and as I said Gentleman, sad news.

It was nice to see the numerous Fulham shirts among the crowd today, a nice tribute to the man responsible for the formation of the club.
Strange that there has been no mention of his passing on the clubs official website.

Agree it's a pity the club have not put anything up. There is a good tribute on the Warrington website.

I'd say it was a miracle there was any mark of respect shown.

We are talking about a club that threw a load of historical memorabilia in a skip after all.

This is one of the rare occasions when I wasn't actually having a dig.

The club paid due respect it's everyone else who is having a whinge that they didn't do enough.

There is a big second hand bookshop near me. As I was walking past yesterday I popped into see if they had Harold Genders book The Fulham Dream.
Blow me, not only did they have a copy, it does not look like it has even been read. Plus it was only £ 2.50, a bargain. Got to find the time to read it now.
