After the win at Sheffield last time out we’ve got to back ourselves to win but I reckon it’s going to be a close run thing - probably no nails left tomorrow at 5pm!

Newcastle result aside, none of Widnes' last few wins have been by a particularly large margin, so yeah, probably another close one.

Defensive effort against Sheffield was superb and if we can emulate that we should be able to get in good position. Hopefully we spent the week tidying up the attack.

Hopefully just the weather for half the team at least.

That was just like watching Brazil! Broncos played very well and Widnes kept it close(ish) until they capitulated late on.

May have got interesting if Widnes had made it 30/18 but nice that we gave somebody a good tonking

Not sure I'd quite agree with that. I thought Widnes' end of sets, particularly in the first half were poor. Too many kicks just drilled into touch and didn't really make them a contest.

Not sure whether it was the heat or not, but Widnes did look very flat. Took their two tries well enough, but we looked so much sharper, both sides of the ball.

Another good game from Alex Walker and a very good performance from Jordan Williams. He's always so reliable and got himself a try today.

I thought Norman had a very good game as well. Both Leylands were lively and Walker very good. Thought Anatolia did well as well and Albert much more secure this week.
I thought the crowd was much higher than that around 700.
