He's a very average championship player at best. Got found out disastrously at SL level. Give him a bit of space against a tiring PT championship team and he will score you a try. Run hard at him and you will score a try.

What do I know but that feels harsh. Even I could see what I believe are referred to as ‘defensive frailties’ but he had electric speed and very rarely missed with his kicks. Also seemed a decent human being, although I accept that’s not a relevant metric. Think about how he used to score an interception try and then think back to when Egodo did at the early stages of last season. One scored effortlessly the other looked like his was pulling a truck behind him ( although credit where it is due he did score). The old adage applies to most team sports that real pace terrifies defences and Dixon had that.

Dixon scored many more tries with ball in hand and many more points with the boot than he ever conceded for us - SL and Championship.
I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

Thinking of pacey wingers who’re fragile defensively, brings to mind Martin Offiah. Of course he had centres in the shape of Gene Miles, Andrew Farrar and Gary Connolly, all defensive monsters who could snuff out attacks down their side. Don’t think Kieran was quite in the Offiah class but it would have been interesting to see what he could have done paired with a world class centre.

He's still training with us but not signed and might play in the friendly v Saints. Dixon has also had some training sessions with Sale Sharks.
