Sadly it is a provisional failure at a drugs test, a recreational drug. It is an RFL suspension, supported by the club, not a club one.

I really do wonder why these folk do it. You are in a job where you know that you are definatly going to be tested at sometime, you know the consequences yet still do it.
It's not that hard to stay away from "recreational " drugs.
Then again if you are right in that it's a provisional failure then it's still innocent till proven.

He seems to be a troubled soul. He has bags of talent yet is unable to stay on the straight and narrow. In the past, things like this went on I am sure. With the immense scrutiny that these players are under. It at best, unwise.

Not really got any sympathy for him, he is in a job that lots of folk just dream about. If he does not like being in the limelight then get out, sad thing is some kids will look up to him and he is a role model to some.

See a wakey player has just been suspended for a positive drugs test. When will these folk learn. If you are in a job where you know the do random drugs testing, don't bloody well do it. I've managed it for 35 years! Not that I can see the appeal of snorting white stuff up yr nose.

ah but is it the white stuff or the weed which is well know to ease pain. Not condoning it whatsoever but i have a little more sympathy if it is for pain as all these guys put their body on the line week after week and eventually there must be a time where nothing else eases it and the pain blows the mind to take anything to ease it

As for using other pain relief!!!!!! I am assuming you are saying that very tongue in cheek. It's a banned substance and illegal, all clubs have a pretty robust medical team behind them and pretty sure most of the bigger clubs have specialist private care. No excuses, and suggesting the use of weed is acceptable is pretty shocking

Not suggesting for one minute it is ok to use weed but more understandable if it were that. We dont have pain therefore we cant judge what would happen if we did and not suggesting that is what has happened either. No one knows any circumstance and therefore cannot judge. If however it is proven then they deserve all they get.

Sorry bud but no not more understandable at all, a pro sportsman who knows he is highly likely to get drugs tested.
Irrelevant of circumstances yes we can judge.
If it hurts too much get out if the game don't use the game as an excuse for illegal substance
