| There are huge areas of London which remain untapped and I think RL has had a bit of an obsession with West London and parts of Surrey because that's where there's a large union fanbase. I've just moved to Bromley and in my view this area is ripe for the taking for a pro sports team and the right market for RL. The borough itself has a population of nearly 400k and has the highest density of green belt land in london with swathes of open spaces, perfect for developing a RL facility. Even better is that land is cheaper out here than in other parts of London. Another big untapped area is Greenwich.
I wonder if the Broncos or RFL take a strategic approach to these type of things.

Bromley u13 take on their counterparts from St Albans before the Broncos v Fev game 25th June, get along and support junior rugby league in the region.

Get down and support em Daddy, not sure why you feel there is an obsession with west london pretty sure Medway, eastern rhinos silverbacks, chargers, Brixton, Elmbridge, skolars would be upset to think west london is the only target

| Still a lot of old Broncos supporters in Bexley and Greenwich from the days at the Valley, plenty of interest in RL in SE London

| As Rob says South East London/ North Kent is an area that would be ideal for Broncos to move in to.
David Hughes obviously considered this by playing those on the road games at Gillingham. With some success off the pitch if not on.
Ebbsfleet Utds ground is currently being redeveloped and would suit us perfectly. close to HS1 railway station and A2 for access.
Central Park Sittingbourne, a bit further out, but a fairly modern stadium, currently used for greyhound racing and speedway.
This we could make our own with. No other sports teams for competition. If the right offer was made, I am sure it could be purchased at a reasonable cost, at the moment it does not seem to thrive.
Just needs some vision and investment. the opportunity is there, however this is the Broncos.

Why move again from one side of London to the other again we would loose all of the hard work put in developing rugby league in the schools around Ealing, not to say any new supporters we have picked up.

So what does this mean if it does not suggest another move. Another move would probably be the final nail in the Broncos coffin

This was the opening line of the first thread, then asking if Broncos or the rfl had a strategy to tap the area. I read that as general strategy, don't think it was suggesting a m9ve put that way it was bosty who mentioned broncos moving.

| The simple fact is that if the club has any ambition it is going to have to relocate. Ealing Trailfinders suits our current needs. However for Super League it is a non starter.

Whilst another move would be difficult to stomach I think everyone would go for it if we were moving to our own ground? East London wouldn't be my favourite but again I would live with it.
Would David Hughes have the money? Would he invest? Are there people out there out who would put money in? Are the grounds up for sale? How much?...............

| The one thing that Gus (are we allowed to speak his name?) suggested that made some sense to me was the idea that the Broncos had a central home and then took some games on the road, rather like a county cricket club. Ealing for 10 home games with 2 or 3 on the road, based close to London League clubs who could help make the day into a festival of rugby.

| I always thought that when we took games on the road in The Stoop/Griffin Park/The Valley days, we went too far from home .We should have stayed closer to London and used the games to promote The Broncos. Gillingham being an example of when we did and we got 6 000 fans for the first game..
When you think, we went many times to Wales, went to Scotland and even France. Whilst these games may have promoted RL in general, did it do any good for the club.
Must admit I enjoyed attending them.

| You have to be joking about taking games on the road, strewth look at the discussions we had about the "difficulties " of getting to Ealing on a Sunday. How on earth would we cope with a different ground 2 or 3 times a season?
Reality is, trail finders suits us at the moment, everything is one place and let's be honest without a massive investment we are probably playing at the level of competition suitable for us.
If we were too moved am sure it would generate lots of discussion of N E W or S london but go to east london and you will probably lose more fans than you gain and we have few enough.
