| Not surprised about Dixon or Purtell missing another game but I'm a bit startled that Junior has missed out, although Lewis Bienek is a sizable lad. Hope all is well with those 3 players in the club's hierarchy.

| From what I've seen, I'd take Lewis over Junior

| From what I have read, Batley were absolutely awful on Friday. Particularly on the discipline side, the penalty count was 17-6 and in the second half they just fell apart .
The fans cannot work out if the team they put out was weak because they were resting players for Monday, or really down to injuries. However they say that they may have taken a win over Dewsbury for granted. Not a good idea.
The Broncos need to win, they know what they need to do, Discipline is going to be really important. Lets do it!!!!

| Play basic rugby league, keep hold of the ball and lets get a decent completion rate, you can't win without the ball.
As it's constantly mentioned, learn to play the match officials, whinging at every decision will never win you anything, players need to realise best reaction to a penalty is to say nothing walk away and set yr defence.
Don't give away stupid free mtrs. If batley are infringing then "spot" that player run at em wind em up.
And most important play to the whistle, if decisions don't go as expected don't argue accept it and get on with the game, surprisingly when you do that the 50/50 calls start to go your way.

I think this is a very unfair comment about the team. They are not a team who complain much and that is probably the problem. Take a look at other teams and compare to ours where 8 out of 10 times walk away and accept the decision. They complained about the try which never should have been given before half time and quite rightly so. They also complained about two other decisions but given the amount of complaints from teams like Toulouse our complaints are negligable

| I actually think that the team are quite restrained where it comes to complaining about decisions that go against them.
The only penalty for dissent I can remember this season was against Sheffield where the referee had his own very peculiar interpretation of the rules. Could not blame our players for venting their frustration.

cartoons/WB24.gif Life is pretty simple: You do stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works.:cartoons/WB24.gif |

And the one against Toulouse which was just for a mistake but then for mouthing off.

| Never said penalties for dissent. Was merely suggesting that accepting decisions pays dividends

| Just on the try before half-time. Pass was lateral/backwards but several bounces took the ball forward. It is the pass - not the bounces - that count in determining whether it is forward. Seemed like a fair try to me at the time and also now having watched it back.
EDIT: I'm not even on the right thread. Sorry.

EDIT
Can't believe that is the right intepretation of the rule, sure Mickey will correct me

| As long as the ball initially travels backwards that's all that matters, it makes no difference which way the ball bounces after it hits the ground to a knock on call, initial travel back means it is not a knock on

Thanks for the clarification. That's what I had thought, but I'd seen some decisions in games in the last couple of years which made me think perhaps it had been changed.
