| For anyone interested, pretty comprehensive details about the facilities here
rlhttps://www.tfsc.co.uk/rl
As with ANY ground we play at, there will be the usual avalanche of "it's a bugger to get to" type posts, so just to head the whiners off at the pass:
Castle Bar Park is the nearest Railway station, served on Saturdays, but not Sundays from Paddington/Ealing Broadway
Ealing Broadway to the ground 14 minutes on the E11......other bus stops within a 5 minute walk of the ground are served by the E3, E2, E5, E9, E7 and the 297.
If you're a fan of overpriced Fullers Ales, the Duke of Kent (E2, E9, E7) is a 650 meter stroll to the ground.
For those staying overnight, the Premier Inn Greenford offers a 1k walk to the ground and is located near the Central Line for a fast trip into town.
Yes, the stadium (sic) isn't located on top of a tube line and to some it will seem like a 'wilderness" but Ealing Broadway is served by the District and Central Lines, as well as having 16 trains stopping there on route to/from Paddington per hour. There 6 busses that can be caught outside the station that will get you within a 5 minute walk of the Stadium (sic)......I truly hope that the club can retain the supporters from this year and maybe attract some new or lapsed ones.
From Brentford it's 1 bus, from Twickenham 2 busses.
Lastly, I'd like to see Hughes attempt to get our own Beer Tent set up in the grounds if we aren't to get a share of that revenue. Maybe the volunteer/supporters group could offer to staff it? Rather us get the revenue than the Rahs'...

| Was talking to a friend from ealing, seems to think that ealing have expansion plans, building a scent stand, maybe we are investing? Certainly not SL standard should we get a sniff next year. 3g pitch there.

Like the Hive, the biggest stumbling block for development is the neighbours. It's a pretty nice area and I would suspect if they do develop it, then it won't be any higher than the current 2 storey stand. The Seating at one end behind the sticks can be replicated at the other end so it could probably stretch to a 3k seat stadium......but never a SL standard ground.
The Union lads are clothes by under armour, so hopefully we get to see some decent replica and leisure wear in the shop. Will Trailfinders sponsor us next year?
Here's the stand behind the sticks at the Vallis Way End which holds 480...notice that it's lower than the tree line.
This is opposite the main grandstand...I believe there are 120 seats here on match days, either side of the dugouts. No treelines apparent to block the view from the houses at the rear, so planning could prove tricky

| I agree that access isn't bad, however even if planning permission was granted to expand the ground (and looking at the site on Google Earth and Streets I would think that that's going to be VERY difficult) it would appear to suggest that the club's given up on getting back into SL in the short to medium term.

| This place is soulless, I have actually watched two games here, you get of in a small station, in middle of council estate, you walk around the fence of the park, around the ground to a gap in houses, down a lane to a field with a club house one side, nice though and a 70's TV gantry on other side, there is not one buzz at all around ground, go see for yourself, lets hope not

| If this turns out to be true then I'm finally done with the club. It's not the location as such, that's actually pretty easy for me to get to as I live near Ealing Broadway, but more what this decision says about the club.
My very first game was against Keighley at Hendon FC's old ground on Clairmont Rd, in fact it was the first home game under the Broncos moniker in 1994. It would seem that after all these years, and a litany of business / playing / staffing decisions that generally veer from bad to atrocious, David Hughes has returned us to a worse condition than when I first rocked up.
Playing at Ealing Trailfinders tells me that not only is the club in a terrible state but that everyone involved, from Hughes to the RFL, has actually given up on us every being anything other than a small, badly run Championship club. A rich man's plaything. Then you see Wigan, with the RFL's and Broncos' blessing, bringing games down here and already wooing big name sponsors. The community clubs are in a terrible state, after the RFL withdrew almost all of the funding down here. Add this to the fact that there will only be 8 Academies from next season, and our record suggests we won't be one of them but instead a centre of excellence, and the future of Rugby League in London is abundantly clear. There isn't one.
What a disastrous, pathetic state of affairs.

Mine too!
Maybe your original idea of a Phoenix RL wasn't such a bad idea - at least we might be moving forward as a club! Can't see how a groundshare with Ealing RU is anything but a massive backward leap unless 1) we are buying in and 2) we have plans/ funds to build new stands on the site. Otherwise we will be playing at what is one step up from playing in a park!
Presumably this story is filtering out as we aren't going to make the top 8's?

| Great. Just get interested in going as Barnet is easy access from the North of London and this happens.

That one is a beauty.
If daftdad is correct, and I believe that he does have reliable contacts, this would be one move too far for me. Started watching, and later supporting, the Broncos so that I could watch SL. Not here, I won't.
