Never thought I'd look at this one and think "this is crunch time", but here we are and the home win suddenly starts to look vital! We're still light as a squad but should have enough in my opinion, or do we need a prop or two?

Maybe to our advantage, Dewsbury have a CC match at Hunslet next Sunday while our guys have a rest, or as much as Hendo allows them.

Hope so 'Onion, I do think our full time commitment will kick in sooner or later (or at least I hope the bookies are right in their assumption it will), being frank, I can't see how it won't, pinning down a full time job then training part time must take massive commitment.

Think our home wins are pretty important from a couple of sides. Firstly its a confidence thing within the squad, the longer we go on winning at home then the better the confidence is and "hopefully" the performances will improve and "hopefully" spill over to what we do away. Secondly "IF" we keep winning and start playing attractive rugby 1 or 2 of the supporters might start trickling back in.
Making Barnet a ground that teams dont like coming to as they know its going to be tough has to be something we shoudl aim at.
Dewsbury at the moment same as Fax and Fev have to be in the mix for top 4

If Hendo is smart he give give the players a few days off and then re=boot them next week for the business end of the season. That way we may be fresher than the other champ sides who will have alot taken out of them with cup duties.

Nothing insightful about it Micky, just pointing out that it would seem that each week we will be greeted with another thread about another game that Pete sees as a "must win" game, when the reality is every game is a must win game from round 1 to the 30th game...or if we're lucky, the 31st.
Dewsbury dealt easily with Joey's Broncos in the pre-season and have beaten Sheffield....I expect a close game but would hope that our full time fitness will see us through in the end. London by 10.

I never said I saw the Bradford game as a "do or die" you should learn to read GF ya' daft knut!

If you wanna have a pop at my postings, fine, they're there in the public domain and that is your right, but please, keep the "straw man" arguments down, they are just irritating!

Nope, you're correct Pete. What you actually did was ask the question was Bradford do or die, whilst this week you've decided that next weeks game is a must win. My stance is they are all must win games, whilst you'rs seems to be to accept the inconsistency on the park week in week out in the insane belief that we will some how knock off SL opposition if we make the middle 8 d040.gif
Yep, I will have a pop at your insane postings as that's the way things work in a public forum. If we all agreed all the time it would be a bloody boring forum.

I do agree that we need some size in the squad by the way, but dare I ask why we didn't recruit said weight last year when we knew we were going down? I'd better not, because anyone who dares question the ability of the club or anyone connected with it to get anything right is shouted down by the clique that no resides on this forum.

It didn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that less skill and more strength was going to be needed in this division......but nope, Hughes happily wrote cheques for Grima who selected his mates to come over and do a job for us......all the eggs were put in that basket (case) and now he and his mates have gone leaving us drifting mid table. An entire season, written off as in us challenging for anything other than the chance to get mullered by SL teams entirely because a bloke that played a hand full of games for us told the owner that he knew a really good bloke in australia who might make a good head coach......if it wasn't so depressing I'd laugh!

You know whats REALLY irritating?

REALLY REALLY irritating?

I can't actually disagree with that post, GF! Lmao!

I never did, nor do I now, think we had a realistic chance at a return to SL, we need a minimum of quadruple our current fanbase and someone in charge who can recruit really well and actively plan and execute the growth of the club as a sensible and viable entity, (I won't mention coaching, as the jury is still out on Hendo', and to be honest thus far, with what he's got, he ain't doing too badly).

However, that said, I DO hope and believe we can maintain a status as a strong 2nd tier side, I hope we make the Qualifying 8s every season, and if we don't, I expect a Championship Shield appearance (and prefferably the trophy too!). Then maybe, at some point in the future, Mr Hughes decides, "mmmm, time to retire from big business and concentrate on my golf handicap and running my rugger club properly" or maybe just sells it to Donald Trump or (my preference) Russell Crowe!!
