| Making the trip , just wanted some info from you guys about the Hive, seen the official stuff but just wanted a true insight on parking at the ground and food and drink available, any info appreciated and hopefully no motorway hold ups, looking forward to it. Cheers.

| Parking is fine mate barrier controlled as you exit, bloke or girl stands there taking yr money and lifting the barrier.
there is NOTHING around the ground as in local pubs coffee shops etc but the bar I use next to the shop is ok, decent staff, reasonably priced.
cant tell you what the bar over the other side is like but most folk seem happy, you can pay cash at the turnstyle in the bigger stand by the way, save you waiting at the shed window.
Have a word with mr wayne to bring yr second team let us get within 30 pointd of ys

| There is only someone at the barrier to take money immediately after the game. Otherwise you need to buy a token from the bar. It's £1 for parking if you arrive early (Before 2pm I think) or £5 if you arrive later. I find it easier to buy tickets online, you can print them at home or just show the scanner the image on your smartphone.
Bar in the East stand does decent fresh cooked hot food that you order from the bar and collect from the kitchen, the west stand is served by a couple of food concessions selling Hotdogs\pasties . All the bars sell baguettes as far as I'm aware.
The East Stand is has plenty of sofas and chairs and is geared towards having a drink and something to eat before\after the match (Drinks are served in glasses unless you ask). The two bars in the West stand have bar stools and are more geared towards standing up and having a pint during the match.
I'm guessing that with Wigan bringing a few all the Bars are going to be very busy. If it was a football match then the East bar would be home supporters only but I don't know how they will play it for rugby. Possibly refuse entry once it gets too full.
There are a couple of places within 10-20min walk. Regency Club (Bar & Grill) at Queensbury Tube (15min walk), Moranos (Bar) at Canons Park Tube (10min walk) and The Wishing Well (Pub) in Edgware (20min walk). Some go to the Wetherspoons in Stanmore which is one tube stop away from Canons park.
Anyway hope you have a good journey.
I come in on the M1. I've found the best way is to come off at Junction 4, turn right at the first roundabout, go over the next roundabout and then left at the lights (Next to Stanmore Tube). Then follow the road (Marsh Lane) until you reach another roundabout and turn left into Taunton Way. Hive is on the left after you go over the railway bridge.

| Thanks you two for the info, bar at the Stoop was great before and after might check out the East Stand bar, we have been allocated West Stand seats tickets sold at Wigan.
By the way how is Steve Magee's knee he has been getting slower and slower taking that kicking tee on, legend that bloke first met him at Boundary Park in your first season I think, against the then Oldham Bears , was it 1980,
Oh and who knows what team we will bring put it this way bringing my boots !

Steve is still hobbling on. Poor guy must have been our top metre maker the last few seasons the amount of times he has been on with the T!
He had a classic moment at Magic last year when he went to pick the T up from the opening kick off and slipped straight on his !

simpsons/017.jpg Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.:simpsons/017.jpg |

You can park for free in all the streets around the ground.

| Anyone going to the dinner? Me and Mr DSWG plus a few mates are.
As ever, the stuff before the match will be the highlight of the day (can't say I'm looking to the match and being outnumbered by Pie fans)

Four of us going, not been many times this past couple of seasons when all of us were free on the same day to get to a game so making a bit of a day of it!
Hoping the match is better than the fixture last year at the Stoop - our players didn't turn up and it was like being at a 'Where's Wally' convention with all those hooped shirts!

| Will the terraces be open for the Wigan match? If so can you book online and how much will it cost? I tried ringing but the number given doesn't seem to work.
