| According to Der Fuehrer, the RFL has done all it can for the Broncos. The convoluted 3x8 is a pathway to SL apparently.
Interestingly he quotes years of poor management for the current plight and a lack of direction. We would all agree with that. The final straw was the "stripping to the bare bones" strategy at the end of last season which somehow would make it attractive to a buyer, then not finding a buyer!

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

| "Der Fuehre" speaks! he has been quiet of late, all the problems with referee's, video referee's and falling attendances highlighted yesterday in the rugby media! he does tend to bury his head in the sand when bullets are flying. All the promise of building on the World Cup, then he lets Sally leave so easily, too much competition for him?
Of course he has bent over backwards? for one SL club, how many points will they be restored today?
Not defending the way things have gone with our club, but the whole game is flat! people have been fed with the greatest game in the world line for too long. I'm getting tired of the game I was brought up on from pre school days, sat on the wall at Knowsley Road. More and more mates are getting into Union these days, they feel they have taken all the good aspects our game once had and the sport looks more attractive and better entertainment, thanks Nigel!

What an image that conjures up of Nige bent over backwards with his head in the sand. Too horrible to think about.
I'm probably influenced by our own club's current sad state, but SL to me has gone stale and ever more repetitive. Losing the only SL club in the capital hardly helps, does it?

I agree League as a sport is poor. Witness the Magic Weekend which cannot attract as many punters as one game put on by Quins RU and Twickenham... kinda says it all.
The game has no grand vision and it is dying.
What League needs is visionaries and not the deluded nonsense we hear about it being the greatest game. If League dies in London then it becomes even more parochial...

| There is nothing wrong with the game. Just that too few teams play it competitively in this country.

Yes I agree, the game itself is let down by the people that run it, they seem to have very low ambitions and as I have said before would struggle to run a pub darts league down south.

Ultimately I think if people want the game to be confined to the north, that's their choice. Ultimately, you will simply see a continual drift of the best players either to the NRL and rugby union in order to make the money and get the recognition they simply can't get from a sport that cannot generate sufficient income to compete because of its geographical limitations and complete absence of vision

| Talking to many friends in the North, they are now going to less games, being selective, party because of ticket/admission prices, but nearly all of them agree that rugby league should accept it is just a small time Northern sport and that is how they should go, even if it means going back to semi-pro once more. Personally I find that really disappointing. The NRL seems to be going further away from us as a sport, France is now weak as a national side, we have gone backwards.
Note still no announcement about the Bulls, and the meeting was Wednesday, there seems to be a complete media black out? wonder why?

| No media blackout. It's been announced in the press and on twitter by the RFL that the panel have asked the Bulls to provide more evidence to back up their claim.
