Have to agree. Having been to all games so far this year it was the first time I felt our performance was inexplicable/ unjustifiable and then to read TR comments or should I say twaddle.

This has been coming for much longer than 3 years.

| Yes and I think the next two games will be lucky to get 700+ in the ground.

| Sadly I suspect the question is more whether it is the end of London Broncos.

I felt the same. Previously with no relegation i knew we could always make changes over the next season or two to make us better. However we have really made a mess of recruitment in a relegation year and it will kill us off. I know DH says we are still looking to recruit but we wont get that many players who can significantly improve on what we have.

There's also a real issue about which players would want to leap on board a desperately sinking ship ? The only players who would are those who can't find a berth elsewhere, and there's usually a reason for that. I do understand why Rea tried to recruit young, hungry players trying to make a name - his sales pitch was probably that he'd be giving them 12 months in the top flight to win a contract at another club - but it looks like it hasn't paid off, and the quality just isn't there.

| We are effectively a "ghost" club, kept alive by TV money to simply fulfil a fixture list.
Even my eternal optimism that we could finish 9th is beginning to wane!
We've gone from competing for the first 20 minutes, to spreading the same twenty minutes out a bit.............It simply cannot be enough against what else is out there.

| No I don't think it's the end. The players do look hungry, and they do look bothered. The first half was shocking, but they played a lot better in the second half.
Last two seasons I watched a team who'd given up after 20 minutes but were then laughing and joking in the bar afterwards as if nothing was wrong. When I spoke to some of the team in the bar after Saturday, they were not happy about losing.
You all give up and be negative if you want, I'm far happier about paying money to see the current team than some of the mercenaries I was paying to watch last season.
And if they exist next season I'll watch them then as well.

Incorrect. The statistics show that the best supported era in the clubs 19 SL seasons were at the Stoop second time around....even if you discount the ridiculous double header figure.
It was a massive opportunity for the club when we moved to the Stoop in 2006.....but the RFL pretty much ruined it when they said Lenegan couldn't own both us and Wigan.
Since the start of the 2008 season when Hughes has flown solo, the club has stuttered and staggered towards oblivion.....and this will be the final season as a professional outfit. If Hughes decides to "linger" next year, then they may get a shot at the middle 8, but once he walks, the club will drop down to Championship 1 level.

| The problem I have is I no longer know what I'm supporting, and I don't believe it can succeed anymore. Hopefully I'm wrong, but there seems to be no long term vision. I don't mind losing every game this year, if the club was to say we're here for the long term, if we go down we'll re-build...this is the plan.
We seem to have no plan and not much chance of anything after our 2 year deal is up. More of the same to deal with which I'm not sure I can be bothered with.

It isn't a done deal for 2 years YET.
There is an option for a second year, but the "business model" of 2014 is a "trial" and I suspect that AK may well prefer to charge rent in 2015 if we are facing the possibility of gates of a few hundred.
I 100% agree with the "lack of plan" being a massive turn off. Hughes needs to stand up at a fans forum (once we are assured of relegation) and state clearly what his intentions are towards the club in the 2nd tier. Without him, then the club will drop like a stone......with him, he needs to clearly identify ways to making the "business" self sufficient and he needs to employ people with the requisite skills to get it there.

But whatever he says means nothing without a stadium. AK needs to stand up too and say we can see how a SL club in London can easily have average gates of 5K, this is how we will make it happen.
But we aren't going to hear that because AK probably doesn't have the patience to allow it to happen, he wants it to be profitable now and the club is in far too weak a position to achieve sensible attendances in the next few years.
So for me I can't see any positive outcome.

That was clear too when they came over at the end to thank the fans, led by Matt Cook whose expression said it all.
