Seems to be rumours on Twitter regarding a move North West next season. Well it is in London (just about).

| How does this pass the RFL criteria for ground size?
The enlarged stadium will have a capacity of approximately 5,100 - with 3,500 seated - in line with the previous planning approval for the site.

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

| Well with the new quite stupid plans for Super League's future from The Fat Controller (one robbed from Scottish Football and unanimously rejected) I can't see any RFL criteria in the future as most teams in SL2 will not meet the criteria and four will go into SL1.
Well with the possible two divisions of 12 teams, then half way through the season bottom four in Super League 1 dropping down to Super League 2 and the four top teams moving into Super League 1? - with SL2 teams only getting about £180,000 from the Sky monies how are they going to ever compete in SL1? (Bottom 2 teams in Super League 2014 will drop into SL2 and a new French club will join SL2 to make up the 12 teams)
It was rumoured that David Hughes had met with Anthony Kleanthous a while back at The Hive.
Perhaps it is planning for the future, if David Hughes withdraws would the RFL bank roll for a while to keep us in SL2?
How a man who has been a complete failure in the past years as CEO of the RFL was trusted to do a review of the game and it's future is unbelievable, but chairman of such as Wigan, Leeds, Warrington, Hull & St Helens are not really worried as long as they always get their £1.8 million share from the Sky monies!

| Think this will be where we end up. Difficult for transport and harder to get to than the Stoop?

Here is The Hive :
This was on Gus's Magical Mystery tour in 2012 when we were looking for somewhere to call home full time.........Let's face it, 5,100 capacity isn't going to be a problem....Gus has not presided over a game with a "5" at the start of the attendance....he's only ever seen a "4" 5 times out of 33.....and the "all seats sold" target of 3,500 at the Hive has only bothered him a total of 9 times.
Stunned at the speed of the decline of the club.....and saddened

| transport wise it's pretty good I think. It's just by Canons Park tube on the Jubilee line and the Northern Line at Edgware is close. It's also very straightforward by road if you're coming from the north as the M1 is only a couple of miles away.
The standard will not be of current SL standards but as pointed out above that looks like it'll be scrapped it the 2 x 12/8x8x8 format is introduced.
And the biggest thing is that Barnet FC are planning on a temporary 10 year stay until they get something sorted out back in their home borough and maybe, just maybe once that happens then the Broncos will finally have their own ground. Imagine that!
All in all I think the Broncos could do a lot lot worse than this. Plus it's not that far from my house

We currently play in a "15", I would be interested to know how many "15", "14", "13", etc crowds we, in our various guises, have registered in 30 years. I suspect not many. Potential is one thing, translating that into bums on seats is another - thats one thing we agree on. The other is a competitive side on the field.
I am equally frustrated at where we are as a club, but, perhaps in the short / medium term this might be a a good move - if it is a real option and SL accept it. If we can get the ground half to full every home game, generate a decent atmosphere, make it our home (and put a decent side on the park), perhaps 2 or 3 years down the line we could be looking to extend the capacity, etc.

| It is a sad move it if this like Sir Alex retirement turns out to be the truth, but it not only reflects our club and it's decline but the game itself.

Well Fergies departure is confirmed.
Just a matter of seeing where we are off to.
Id be up for this venue bearing in mind our crowds, but its hardly SL is it.
But as Poplar Panther says perhaps its the club preparing us for a stint
at a lower level.

[Relevance of Ferguson's retirement to our situation completely escapes me.]
Think you're right about this being a lower level venue. As such, it looks fine. I doubt we'd have any difficulty in persuading the RFL to let us use it as a one year only SL venue.
Far too inaccessible for me but handy for folks arriving from northern latitudes down the M1.

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

| Looks a nice ground for a Championship or SL2 side, with potential to be upgraded and as such could be a good move, and a decent looking bar for those who break out in a cold sweat at the thought of having to watch us sober (which I'd imagine is just about everyone at the moment!). Might get a one season exemption on the ground capacity, unless we're dropping down into the Championship next year - which wouldn't suprise me as we patently can't cope at this level the way we're going at the moment.
