| Sold out to Widnes fans who thought it was agreat deal and it is a great deal to away fans who can get hospitality at our home games cheaper than a season ticket holder. They only pay to get in the match once but the club expects season ticket holders to buy a season ticket and pay the £40 an away fan pays.

| Was full of Widnes supporters larging up at the back of the main stand.
Was a great day.
Drunken Widnes fans in the corporates. An a bunch of blue-finger-waving away fans in the stand opposite.

| A group of us used the Legends quite a number of times last year - in fact most games, but we will not use it while we have to pay more than an away fan. Its not right - like a vast number of the fans we have put endless amounts of money into the club over the last 20 / 30 years in sponsorship of players, season tickets, merchandise etc so we do not see why we should pay more than an away fan for the same facility at a club we support. Name another club in SL who would treat their own supporters like this and then ask why we cannot build crowds. They welcome the away fans with hospitality, they welcome the occassional supporter with free tickets but do absolutley nothing to keep the hard core season ticket support and start to build from there.

Agree with this, part of the reason I havent renewed this year.
Just will be casual while I am in town, however the £40 hospitality sounds great. Ridiculous that Season ticket holders cannot upgrade.

| Why should the club take a loss in offering carefully priced up hospitality at a discounted rate?

The away fans get a £20 ticket + a £20 meal cost = £40
The ST holders get a meal costing £40
Go figure who is funding whom!

Not sure what your point is, the hospitality is an entirely seperate operation. You would be happy with the club making a loss on its hospitality then? For once I can understand where Gus is coming from on this one. As I have said, it might be nice to offer a small discount for season ticket holders but no doubt if they were offered £5 off, people would still be bleating on here about it.
Pleased the club sold it out last week, fingers crossed another high uptake this Sunday. In my experence, the main purpose of hospiality is to entertain those who need to be entertained for the benefit of the club and current season ticket holders don't fall into that bracket for me.
No doubt there will be those stomping their feet saying that they were being mistreated, but I bought my ticket to gain myself entry to the home matches this year, anything else is completely seperate of this.

how many of those widnes fans will be back for the Wakefield game? Will many of them drag their s down to kent?
I can think of no other sport where the home team offer better VFM to visiting fans than that offered to season ticket holders......maybe such practices are popular in zimbabwe and Kent

Am with you Dave. As unfortunate as it is for ST holders.

| The club would not be making a loss and it could help it make even more profit. I like a number of others do not feel inclined to pay more for the same service than an away fan pays therefore like them I am not taking up the offer which results in missed sales. An away fan/non season ticket holder pays £40 into the match which includes the hospitality. As season ticket holders we are being asked to pay £40 plus the cost of the season ticket. I have no problem paying the difference between the cost of the season ticket and the £40 which means I have paid the same as an away fan / non season ticket holder but I will not pay more than them. It is totally unfair to expect home fans to pay more than away fans.

then you're both wrong IMO and in the eyes of most other fans as well........ST holders are worth more than the away fans......it beggars belief that anyone would think expecting a STicketed supporter of the club to pay the MORE THAN an a away day fan is reasonable

| Gus clearly intends to 'sell' this to away fans. Move along now there is nothing for season ticket holders here!

| Surely the profit to the club is £40 - match ticket (value £20) - costs of hospitality?
For season ticket holders, wouldn't precisely the same margin be returned by £20 - costs of hospitality?
I must have missed something?
