| Don't know anything about him but it seems he has been signed up by Wigan U20s? Has our scouting system missed a trick? Its on the Total RL Forum

| Was mentioned on the radio last night. (he'd been advised if he wanted to get anywhere that he should move to a northern club.)

| Let's face it, if the champions think you're good enough to sign for them the only reason not to sign is lack of confidence and ambition. How can Quins seriously compete with that in the forseeable future?

| I've not been involved for a while so not sure of latest developments but Jamie has been involved in the system and Quins and with London and South regional squads so it's not like he's never been looked at.
Was very physically talented as a younger player and as you point out is a very big lad. Not sure why he's up at wigan but I seem to recall he left scholarship a couple of years back to get involved with one of the RU teams (Wasps I think)
Either way the guys at quins will be fully aware of Jamie

| Jamie was selected for England Community Lions under 18's in November for the games against Wales and Australia. With the ball he is great - a big bulldozer who can shift quickly. However he has a lot to learn in defence, he got turned inside out against the Aussies. So good luck to Wigan, they obviously feel he has potential to improve

| It's fine being told to sign for a top Northern Club, but life is going to be much harder to break into, kids who have been playing the game since they were 6 or 7 and team mates who will look after their own mates.
Wish Jamie the best of luck though!

| I dont think Hemel as a club are that pro-Quins, just from a few things Ive heard them say over the years in interviews etc. I dont think we would have first refusal on their best young players put it that way.

| Unless Hemel have the player under contract it's nothing to do with them who a player signs for realistically. I have no idea about the Hemel / Quins relationship but the number of their ex players in our junior set up suggests they aren't exactly trying to stop players moving on to us. Dan Sarginson and Keiran Dixon are both ex Hemel for starters.

| Hemel are the leading community club in the South (and most well established). They have aspirations of playing at a higher pro / semi pro level and to do that without the need to continually import players from north / overseas they need to develop their own juniors. It would be fair to say they find that a struggle, even with a full time development officer, and this is not helped by their better junior players joining the RPDC, effectively the pathway to join the Quins scholarship programme. We have seen the effect of this on Kieran and Dan. It is completely right and proper that this is the case and I don’t believe anyone at Hemel begrudges this, but it certainly doesn’t help them in their goals, particularly when junior players from their club who don’t succeed on RPDC, end up going off into the ether.
