| Not for me. I went last year and found it all strangely uninspiring. Maybe it was because we'd won at Headingley the week before, but it all seemed a bit anti-climactic to me, even though we won our game. I enjoyed having a long weekend in Edinburgh and chatting to supporters of other clubs in the pubs etc., but I'm in Edinburgh for the Scotland v England cricket ODI six weeks later and had a football trip to Glasgow last month, so (not-so) Magic weekend got squeezed out. I like Edinburgh as a tourist destination, but for RL I'd rather go to Castleford or St Helens.

| Not for us. There was no real atmosphere and I cannot see how they can claim taking it to Edinburugh was the right thing to do. Very few of the locals knew anything about it. We have done the Cardiff and Edinburugh thing to try to help spread the word. How about Twickenham, Wembley, or even some of the bigger football grounds around England where there is a chance of growing crowds. Different area each year.

cos nobody else is likely to match the funds being given to the RFL for staging it in Edinburgh, and no footie stadium will have 7 games played on it at the business end of their season.

| Wont be going again this year...
The event needs extra components to it, create a real 'event' feel about the weekend.

| Really enjoyed the two visits to Edinburgh for the CCFs. Great atmosphere, especially at the all-Yorkie one and Beltane festival up on one of the hills. But the Magic weekend is one week too late for that this year.
For me, the magic weekend doesn't work - huge mostly-empty stadium, far too many games, blah blah blah. And there's domestic circumstances and I've become an even more miserable old b****r in the last few years, so won't be going.

| Went last year, but taking the Under 11s on tour that weekend next month. Although I never got to Cardiff, the idea of all the derbies was much more appealing than the dull selection this year. I went to the games at Leeds and St Helens over Easter with Master Sheen last week and enjoyed it much more than Murrayfield.

| We went last year too, but not going this year.
I enjoyed my first visit to Edinburgh but I thought the event was a bit of a let-down (the bars weren't up to much and quite expensive). Thought there might be some bands and stuff going on around the ground.
One can't argue that it's a more convenient location for the majority of RL fans and if I lived up north, I expect I would go again.
I shall wait and hope that it might go back to Cardiff one day.

| I did both Cardiff's but missed last year. Lady luck has me working in Glasgow on Friday so able to stay up on expenses and last flight back from Edinburgh on Saturday night so able to get first 2 and a bit games in.
TBH if I was paying wouldn't bother

| Not for me this year. Did both Cardiffs and enjoyed them, although the first more than the second where we gave the game to Catalans gift-wrapped in a box with a big sodding bow tied round it!
Agree with previous poster who thought it was a better idea to have local derbies for the weekend (doesn't really apply to us I know), was sat with a bunch of HKR fans for the first SL Hull derby, great atmos. Nothing against Edinburgh but at least in Cardiff it seemed to make sense as an occasion because of the plan to expand SL and get (Celtic) Crusaders in.
Somewhere different next year? Wembley (although least said about the pitch the better), the Emirates/ Arsenal or the new stadium that will replace Lansdowne Road in Dublin? What about moving the weekend to the Bank Holiday at the end of May (ie in half term ) or having it as a curtain raiser to the season?
