I believe Zeb was released because he struggled with his defence at times.
I thought he was a decent player going forwards though. Had a good step, some strength and a bit of speed.
All I know is he put in a lot more effort than those who have taken to the field recently.

Ah..the memories come flooding back.
Zeb, on my 40th Birthday Bash, when we (the birthday crew) were stood on the terrace with the Hudds fans , hit the hoardings at full tilt....got up after a bit and played on. A 6'5" Union playing mate of mine couldn't believe it......and said he was indestructable!
Get him re-signed now!

I remember that too, couldnt believe he just got up with smile on his face.
When last saw him on TV for Barrow, he looked as if he's bulked up a bit and took a bit of stopping, and his defence didnt look that bad either.
If the club are thinking of signing Gibson, out of the two i think know who i would perfer they signed.

I think Brian went off Zeb when he cut his hand helping Haumono move (having left us in the lurch).
Not sure Brian likes the strong, silent types (we seem to go for Aussies or Brits nowdays.)

Regardless of anything else, he was re-signed at least once to play in Super League, so clearly was. |
