| Didn't we hand out a thousand free season tickets last year to amateur players? Of which only 100 returned?
It will be cracking if it works, but we shall see.

And people call me sceptical and negative?
This is a fantastic move IMO, promoting it as 1 top day out focusing on the amateur game is better than a free season ticket I reckon.

Have to agree a good idea from the Club. And yes beofre anyone chips in and says we have had them before and they have not made much different to the crowd. But if you look this time they are giving the Clubs who get involved a cash back plus free playing kit for tickets sales they make. Now as we all know alot of amateur Clubs in all sports stuggle for money, then what better way to get these kids Mum's and Dad's, Aunt's Uncles or any their Family members or even just supporters of their Clubs to watch them play to come along to our game.
One thing i might say and know it might get some peoples backs up with it. But why not give these kids and any supporters the best view possiable and open the Lexus Stand for them around the players tunnel say, and not just stick them in a Stand behind the posts.
Stands back and waits for to be kick for this outrageous suggestion.

Seriously though, really good idea, and hope it gets the response it deserves. Incidently, Celtic Crusaders are doing exactly the same thing for our game there on Monday (inc for Welsh RU clubs).

I'm just saying we've tried similar moves before to no avail. The free season tickets, the 8000 crowd v Wigan & the 6000 against Manly - we've totalled 4500 for the last two games.
As I said, if it works, fantastic. If it doesn't then it's just another failed initiative.

| How do you define failure?
I came to Quins three years ago on a freebie ticket. Since then I paid for each remaining game of that season, and have held a season ticket for the last two missing just two games including last nights . That freebie ticket has paid for itself over and over again. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that got the "bug" that way and hopefully Quins can get other fans the same way
It may well be a platitude, but, "Tis better to have tried and failed, than to have failed to try"

Speculate to well, get some bums on seats!
The club must try everything, and when everything has been tried then we can say RL in London failed. Unitl then the club has to try every avenue.

| I agree anything is worth a try (even if its been done before), we just need the bums on seats. Any idea what the crowd for the Dragons game was? Ta

| I was a very irregular attender for years before catching the bug at a game I only attended due to a half price offer. This is my tenth year as a season ticket holder. Initiatives like this won't turn up thousands of fans overnight but people with an interest in RL must be high up our potential fans list. Good on the club, fingers crossed.

| Free ticket via my son joining the mighty Whitton Warriors following some coaching sessions at school by Quins RL community coaches got me totally hooked. Extended family have followed suit and friends I've talked into coming to games whilst not yet regulars are returning. Also get the ex pat Leeds, Saints, Hull KR and Wire fans from work along. These initiatives work alas not as quickly as we would like or this great sport deserves.

| Yes its a very positive step.
They tried this for the our first home game of the season but it turned into a
Hainault Bulldogs versus Medway Dragons only fixture as not enough players
had signed up for the other junior clubs.
This should not be a problem now though.
