| A few things that dropped out of the forum
We have signed Matt Gardener from Salford(I believe)
We have a new marketing manager, communications manager plus others (I’m not that sure what they said!)
CEO- 70 applicants before advertised, 6 final CV’s with Boss Hogg. Unlikely to be in place before Feb if they are on 3 months notice in current job.(the last appointment collapsed due to health issues in the incumbents family)
Players back in Trg. Looking to play a similar style of game to last season
The Aussies are due over soon. One is delayed due to child being ill
26 players in squad. Mac happy with squad.
Puma providing new kit. 500 available before Xmas. They will provide a better range of clothing than Kooga. We will be using the as stand shop as our major outlet.
Manly game- Marketing looking for a big push on it. Likely to be on the Thur although there is an option to play it on the Sun. Hoping Sky don’t show it.
Club has a plan for the future which is probably better than we’ve had before
Unlikely to be transport to away games
A plan to use volunteers is being rolled out. First meeting has been held.
The club will market itself as providing reasonably priced family entertainment. Family season ticket deadline extended.
The club will grow its strengths which are the 5 games against the big teams. Will not be giving out free tickets for the lesser games
Corporate boxes/facilities to be given more attention by the marketing team
That’s all I can think of at this stage. I’m sure there is more

Mc seems determined to sign a winger from Barrow doesn't he?
Let's hope he knows what he is doing. We must have more ex NL players than any other outfit. He could do worse than sign Wayne Kerr (debuted for Ireland this week) from the Skolars. He is rough around the edges but very keen and has potential IMO.

Yes, Salford released him after the NL1 final, to which his most notable contribution was dropping the ball when he was about to touch down under the posts with no defender in sight.
EDIT: On second thoughts, I think he was released before the final so he knew it was going to be his last game for Salford.
Huddersfield released him a year earlier and down to NL1 he went. And I think that's where he belongs.

| Boss Hogg also mentioned there would be a change of emphasis from Quins RL or Harlequins RL to Quins/Harlequins Rugby League.
Apparently kids being coached by the community team thought the RL stood for Rugby Lessons!
Brian Mac had a trainig type shirt on with the new logo.

EDIT
If he's going to sign players not up to SL standard because he needs a 'body' why not give it to one of our own youngsters who could hopefully kick on with Full time training.

| He talked about our younger players.
Curently there is no one in the 21 & 18's that excites him
He says there are 3-4 in the 16 that have potential.
Lamot Bryant was released or downgraded to PT due to his attitude.
He doesn't like the word potential. He says there are pubs all over Britain with fat blokes, smoking fags with beer guts talking about there potential.
His words

thats a bit harsh isn't it, I'm surprised he says that kind of thing in the public domain.

Maybe, it is psychology, he wants them to prove they are good enough.
How many local youths are coming through at Chelsea or Tottenham, not many. Even Arsenal's youth system is not delivering enough top level players. They have to fight and be good enough, to get in.
I would back Mc's judgement on this.
