| It is a pity that we have a break this weekend, what with us starting to hit form and Bradford in a slump performance wise.
Bradford a really in disarray and whilst Odsal is not an easy place to go and get a result, we should pull two points out of the game and set ourselves up for Blackpool.
The Bradford fans fear a good hiding in their next two games, us and Hull KR, so let us not disappoint them.

| On one level I agree the break is bad, but on the other hand we may get players back - Kear? Battye? and Beinek and Cunningham picked up knocks against Oldham, so two weeks hopefully gets them fit?
As for Bradford, unless they get a lot of recruits from widnes or some where else, they seem in meltdown?

| It seems that Bradford have further legal problems. With players and other former employees taking new and old Bradford companies to court and the RFL too.
Seems a right mess to me.
I feel sorry for the fans.

| A total mess, though the management of RL has been a disgrace for years. I keep hearing/seeing plans for SL1/SL2, does anyone know what the thinking is?

| The reality with Bradford is they went bust and the club was liquidated. Any new club should have started at the bottom and worked up the ladder. All they have done here is patched holes trying to keep going at the level they are was not and is not viable. They as yet have no coach, they must have been paying the players cash in hand as they had no bank account until a couple of weeks back.
The rfl were a bit week here, heritage is one thing but its folks livelihoods that are being played with. They should have shut down let players staff go and gone part time

| The new Bradford Bulls situation was handled all wrong. As you say they should have folded, dropped to League 1, left Odsal and reformed as a part time team .
The RFL had a team as ready replacements in Toronto. Who were obviously strong enough for the Championship.
With their fan base Bradford could have rebuilt and become viable again in time.
What is more the RFL may have been able to realise some value from their investment in Odsal.

| When I say the rfl were weak it was in not dropping them to nl1 and no Toronto were not the replacement a team who went down were the replacement. The RFL are the governing body, might be sports bank roll. Teams should stand and fall on there own merits, the fact they over stretched themselves financially is there own fault, why should the RFL bail them out? Same with us, why should anyone "buy" us a stadium!
As for the plight of the players, you are joking are you not? That failure and crash was coming all season. Sport is hard to fund but lots of teams manage to cope

| Not to relegate either of the Cumbrian teams would have been pointless, both are very poor and offer very little. They very much seem to be living in the past.
Toronto would have bought a strong, competitive team, fresh new ideas and loads of publicity.
Catalan were put straight into Super League if you remember, and initially struggled. Look at them now.
Toronto as we well know are a very competent team who would have thrived in the Championship and would certainly be pushing for The Middle 8s, with a chance of promotion.

| Bosty I take your point, so why not pick and choose then?
Why did Toulouse not come straight into championship? Who would you suggest should have been binned last year in there favour
Either we have a progression system and you prove yr ability first or you have franchise where you can buy your way into the league.
Have Catalan been the roaring success of the SL era? They have not won an awful lot have they? Yes they are pretty competitive and in fact are my super league team that I follow at the moment.
As for your argument re Cumbrian team Barrow raiders played 7 won 7
Whitehaven played 6 won 5 so neither team offer anything are they?
It is a moot point and all down for discussion, and opinions, like I say my view Bradford were "saved" from demotion as a new club on history rather than sense. Who should have replaced them is pretty irrelevant but I still say a relegated team should have got the place.

| Just been talking to one of our suppliers who comes from Bradford. His Dad a life long Bradford fan and season ticket holder, says that if this court case is as bad as it appears. The new owners might just walk away.
As it is they are just about getting by. Card payments in their shop have had to be made through a third party. Their coach still has no visa. Recent results are awful. Reliant on loan players from Leeds. A court case that they could lose. Not a very good outlook.
Can see the RFL having to take over until the end of the season, then fold the club.

| As we are on the subject of Toronto, looks like the Paul rowley influence is setting in there, 5 players up in front of the discip board, sounding all very much like Leigh. Would rather watch rugby league played in the spirit of the game rather than trying to use thug tactics.
