If I were david hughes i would be in for Brian Noble. Proven at both ends of the SL table. He would have a better starting position than he did with crusaders and they got into the playoffs.

I'm sitting here with a beaming smile, for the first time in a long time on this forum.

Rob Powell, back as a trusty lieutenant, but Tony Rea is the man for this club, in this time to help us refocus for the rest of 2012.

It is better to have Tony Rea until a firm top coach can be found and negotiations completed, very few would want to come in now!

As much as I agree with the demotion/sacking of Powell, I just wonder if its the right decision to get Rea in, or anyone else, as an interim.

Rea will have his own ideas of what he feels the club need to improve on and I imagine that the Coach for '13 will have his own ideas too. So two sets of ideas will result in confusion and after the two years this club have had, more confusion is the last thing the club needs.

Personally, I'd like to see Rea stay on in a Director of Rugby type of role with Royce Simmons as Head Coach. Realistically, Rea will be kept on when no one else wants the job.
