| I know we have heard the rumour about Walker goinv to Wakefield, but i saw on another online thread that Wakey also after Pitts as well.
Staying in SL or not , the club will have to be looking for players but i haven't sern us linked with anyone.

| No Salford are also complaining today players announcing they are leaving, a letter in one of the rugby papers saying leave Salford alone, well no one has lost as many as we have over the years, you could list a good super league side of Ex London players?

| Serious about RL has us linked as a possible destination for James Greenwood. Next season of course. I think we get linked to quite a few players by them as we are a club with plenty of cap space to play with. I think our squad will be decimated at the end of this season tbh. Im not expecting a great deal of quality recruitment based on recent times. Next season a load of kids and players no one else wants

| We will always be vulnerable because of where we are and the money available. Walker, will be attractive to many. He needs to look at what has happened to those who have left, some successes but just as many failures. Kieron Dixon, is 10x the player HKR messed up. If I was Alex I would query is Wakefield the right destination?
But a sporting career is short and a good offer cannot be ignored, you cannot blame a player earning more, living in a cheaper place and being nearer family

| From what was said tonight on the Forty20 live podcast, David Hughes is frustrated at the way the system works, with us losing players to Super League clubs because we cannot guarantee that we will still be in Super League next year. It seems quite a few of our team have or will be signing with other clubs.
On the positive side, players on one year contracts should need no motivation to play well, they will want to impress potential new employers.

| Well maybe if Hughes had spent a little more on recruitment we could be in a more comfortable position in SL and not be so worried about relegation.
There’s 3 games I can think of off the top of my head where we lost by less than 6 points- a quality player or two might have made the difference between winning those games and losing them.

| It is very easy for us to spend David Hughes money for him.

True, but as I understand it we are very much under the cap with our spending. Makes me wonder sometimes does DH actually want us to stay up.

| It will forever be an issue for Broncos though. If we are in the Championship it will be a case of will we go up, if we are in SL it will be a case of will we go down. I think the club is at a point where it needs to decide what it wants. We are currently meandering along on a road to no where. It will take an initial outlay by Hughes (or someone) but some sensible recruitment on the field, and some sensible marketing off it could make the world of difference to us. Does not have to cost the world but needs to be smart. Unfortunately Hughes does not seem to have a track record of doing either with London. He has wasted money and made poor decisions that have left us where we are. I do wonder at times if the club even want to be SL.
Had that been done this season like it should have, who knows where we could be. We have the makings of a decent squad with some very good youngsters coming through. As it stands at the end of this season we will be back to square one having to build a squad to get out of the championship, in effect, making the previous two years pointless.
The comment about us spending Hughes money for him, why shouldnt he be spending. like I said, if he did not waste it and spent it sensibly it would not be an issue
Good knows how our squad will look next season. We could struggle to make top 5 in the Champ. As we currently stand in our present form, is staying in SL even a good idea??
I am at the point of zero faith in the club, I have stopped going now. The players and Ward have my upmost respect and are doing a great job but how long before Ward decides to move on. Its a constant rebuilding with us but it seems the foundations are made of sand.
Serious question hand on heart, who can say that they have any faith in the club re the direction it is going. Too much reactive or nothing at all rather than proactive.

| I totally agree with you RfE. I too wonder about David Hughes intentions for the club.
In 2017 he appeared totally deflated when we failed to get promoted. For 2018 it appeared that he cut right back. Hendo left and Danny and Jamie stepped up. Our recruitment was rather disappointing with players like Lovell signing up. Yet we got promoted, to everyones amazement.
To my mind. Having made it to Super League, surely David Hughes would need to spend less money keeping us up than getting promoted again, following relegation. What is more, any new investors surely would be more interested in buying into a team in the top division, than a team in the second tier.
I wonder what David Hughes plans for the club. However it is Davids toy, so we are in his hands.

I think DH has decided what he wants which is to spend a certain amount of money. I think we are also aware of where he will and will not spend his money. Getting into SL was probably an unexpected bonus. I don't know if DH looks for other "investors" but we seem to need them if we are to have any ambition to grow.

| I don't know why but I had hoped that by now the Trailfinders owners might have wanted to put a few bob into the club - I know they want to get Ealing into Union's top flight but I was hoping they might have wanted in to a top flight ( at present ) League club who just happen to be tenants here.

Assuming Trailfinders benefit from increased attendance via bar takings etc then maybe there is a win-win with them using some of their marketing expertise. However, I've not been to an Ealing Trailfinders game so don't know if they do a better job of attracting crowds and generating a match day experience.

| Should we get relegated but continue as a fulltime squad. Recruitment will be a lot easier for that very reason.
