| Not sure if its been discussed, but would it be possible if richard branson could buy the club back. If all the clubs supporters send him an email, about the current situation. ( might sound crazy, but i guess it couldn't hurt? )

I don't think any of them apply now, and I can't think of any convincing new ones so I wouldn't know what to write, except for a plea for charity and I'd imagine he gets plenty of those.
Potential Wembley appearance I suppose. But even he couldn't be so crass could he?

| It's easy really. To replace the short term £1m Hughes sub, we just need 1,000 of us to put in £1,000 a year. I for one would be up for that. Otherwise dream about some toothy meglomaniac to stump up and really care about the long term, or hope that a few might form a consortium with a quarter of a million each or so.
Either way no-one is likely to move with the current regime in place, and the self destructive plans Super League seems careering towards.
PS I'm deadly serious about the mass ownership by the way.

| I don't think the mass-ownership model has ever worked in sport. But there is another good idea you might want to take on board. We recently did a bring-a-friend for a tenner deal at Cas Tigers and that put a couple of thousand on the gate. Getting them to stay might be another matter though.

As long as they are coming to see a competitive match that can work in the short term. However we dont get competitive games nor have done for years? now it wont work.
The broncos will never be able to compete with the Northern clubs due to the huge difference in the cost of living down here compared to Up North which prevents any quality players moving south and any top quality Southern hemisphere players choosing London over the North. This can only be changed by giving the broncos a fair London weighting to offset this extra cost burden which would certainly help with the aussie recruitment but with the new TV deal down there and the poor rate of exchange with the aussie $ few such players are becoming available now. Any quality Northern players who might be tempted are aslo put off by the need to uproot their family from family, friends schools etc. when they can stay in the same house up north and just drive to their new club each day.
It is not a level playing field in SL.
The Northern clubs will not agree to allow us the London weighting and with our chairmans limited funds he probably cant afford it anyway. We really need to be allowed an extra three aussies to offset the lack of quality players we cant recruit from Up North.
With these concessions the fans can allways say that its down to the club to recruit better and coach better but with things as they are now its like we are playing with our hands tied behind our backs. There is no way of breaking out of this straightjacket under the present SL rules hence the despair of so many fans and the parochial attitude of northern fans who are happy to see RL in this country go backwards as long as their club is OK jack!

| How do Catalans do it then ? They more than survive in a similar environ to London and have additional costs like travel.

It's not the travel, it's the cost of living (rent/mortage). I don't know how much property is in Perpignan but I'd guess at it being less than being in and around SW London.

With the exception of the old "Works" teams, the whole of the Bundesliga is mass owned. And in the era where soccer is king and they have more money than sense, while over half the professional clubs in England have gone bust at least once, NO Bundesliga club has done so. By the way, this year's Champions League final at Wembley was contested by two Bundesliga teams.
Did I ever tell you about the Green Bay Packers?

| Im sure the cost of living there is much lower for the players than it is in London. Hence their ability to attract good overseas players so far. Including Price!
Additional cost for travel are irrelevant to the recruitment of players. The club pays for that.

| If Wayne Rooney does move to Chelsea maybe he could be persuaded to chuck in a couple of weeks' wages? He is reputed to be a RL supporter.

| Someone get in touch with Shad Khan, the guy who now owns the Jacksonville Jaguars & Fulham. Could give him a Trifecta of London sides in a few years.
