Given or Commercial Guru is er....a Commercial Guru, rather than ringing Ealing local companies to ask them to renew sponsorship of players across town, designing and marketing a shirt to the few hundred left would seem to make sense.

Swap the grey for white & job done. Sadly Canterbury don't make our kit. Be nice if Vodafone sponsored us though, should be some money in that. More likely to be sponsored by Avnofone knowing us!

I just wondered if the club might change the colour of the new season strip to blue and yellow.
So that we would fit in following the move to Wimbledon.

As we are parttime, I would actually not produce a new kit.. I mean its not like more than 50 people will buy it, and we could save on production costs and maybe get another player in

I was going to say it’s a bit too loud for modern tastes and then I thought about Warrington most recent effort. So who knows.

Never bought a club shirt! though I do have many from players I have sponsored over the years! Player shirts these days are for athletic young players. I will stick with polo shirts, these too seem to have changed in size and fit? though I do not find it the case with my West Ham polo shirts.

That's probably due to the amount of pie & mash you spammers eat, they need to have plenty of give in their shirts.

Thing is BT, back in 1980 very few if any Football, Union or League teams played in Black & it stood out from the rest. Over time a whole shed load of clubs have had a black kit either 2nd or 3rd strip. It just isn't as unusual as it was. The Broncos quarters shirt was always so much brighter with the white shorts (exclude the version with white cross) and I contest likely to attract more interest than the old Fulham black with chevron. It was certainly more appropriate to wear socially than the chevron one.

I never really understood why when we changed from Quins back to Broncos we adopted Fulham's old design rather than the Broncos quarters or even the red one we had a Wembley. I fear I cry in the wilderness but hey ho!

By having our playing kit based on the Fulham original, this diminishes the clubs opportunity to issue a shirt to celebrate club anniversaries. The club did this to mark 30 years, if I remember correctly.

It’s a fair point. It comes down to personal taste. I prefer the simpler shirts to the more showy ones although they are distinctive. Both styles can come a cropper. Keighley go in for the latter and they are revolting. Whitehaven go for the former some kind of grey thing. Whenever I have seen it I always wonder how it got through the development stage and have a bit of a laugh at them. Sadly they had the last laugh.

Not Guilty M'Lord, never eat at any of our games! Only eat at one Saints game, the Radio Station I worked for, sponsored a game, I was the only person with any RL knowledge? So I looked after the guests in the box, and at the meal.

Five minutes before the end of the game, came into the box, who is your Man of The Match? of course I asked our Guests who they thought it was, I selected! only, for the guy the guy to whisper this play is making his hug debut, can you please change your selection, I escorted him out of the Box! and said NO! We've paid thousands of ££££ to Sponsor, NO! lol

Chevrons have had their day IMHO & very old fashioned. They are not synonymous with style which if you want to tap in to a new market might be important. Having said that, it doesn't stop Football producing some dreadful kit.
