| Looking at the squad for Sunday, I can count only 10 out of 19 who would be automatic starters if everyone was fit. A great chance for the youngsters, my god, if this lot beat the Cats we could yet win the GF!
There will be no shortage of effort but this must the weakest side put out in terms of experience since September 1986.

| Anyone want to guess who will miss out? May and Gigot? as they are the most inexperienced, but it is all a question of degree.

| Gigot is a French U18 International, so I would leave him in. As there will be no quins fans there we could do with all the support we can get!

| IMO i think May and Williams will miss out for one as we have enough cover in forwards. Mac can move Clubb to 2nd row and use O'Callaghan on the wing with Sharp moving into centres maybe.
Problem could be Hooker,so unless Mac is going to play Kaye the full 80 minutes (cant see that one happening). so who would cover there, (Melling played hooker at wigan ).
Gigot gets the nod for me as can kick, and also what the heck we might as well give him a game it cant hurt with the squad we have there

| Jebus, what's happened to Heckenberg?
This could be our youngest ever squad and squad with most British players in.
Average age 20 plays average age 36!

| Crikey, this squad really does bring home just how injury ridden we are. Getting a result in Perpignan will be a hell of an achievement. I hope we have a bit of a stronger squad next weekend, as I'd hate to face Saints with this team.

| Maybe this will be the day when the next wave of Quins youth come through. The LMS-Clubb- Sharp- Worrincy batch did quite well, now is the time for the new batch. Melling will have a big role, he could play SO or back-up hooker. As long as it is not a slaughter we will be OK, the forwards will have their work cut-out and we need to kivk and catch well.

| Theres no point in trialing Gigot if we cant play him when we are down to the bare bones - like now. Its 2 points gone anyway IMO so lets see what he is made of when the result wont be decided by him not having a good game. I think thats why quiet a few youngsters are in there. BM needs to know if they have the bottle and the talent in actual SL games - not reserve games. May as well be now as the last couple of games when we have slipped out of the playoffs.

| Character is very important, our players in or about the England squad have a lot to play for: LMS, Clubb, Sharp and Melling. They are on TV and will be watched so they have to perform or find themselves at the back of a long queue. The new kids have a lot to play for and as for the rest they have to graft. It is not impossible, it is unlikely, and Brian will be looking for 100% commitment. Stranger things have happened, ask Saints at Salford (without Myler) or indeed Salford at Celts a week later.
NIL DESPERANDUM

| Feel sorry for the poor away crew.
If your team get's hammered, 6 Euro's a pint seems like a lot of money(and word has it that the weather out there is poor at the mo).
Please let the Rugby League Gods smile on the Mighty Quins
(and please let Stains play as bad next week as they have against the Mildmogs)

| Once again thank you Wakey............... we will face a Saints side determined to get back on form next week. Though if they have Wellens kicking............Why does it seem that this season has gone pear shaped?
If we can get Orr, Randall, Dorn and Purdham on the pitch at the same time all may not be lost.

It seems fairly similar to most other seasons except we had a better first half of the season than normal, meaning the inevitable late-mid-season slump/injury crisis is that bit more agonising than usual.

For me, Williams and May to miss out.
Gafa and Sharp in .
Temata, Ward, Louie, Haggerty props
Robinson, Golden SR.
O'Callaghan, Melling wings.
Wells fullback
Kaye hooker.
Gale and Skee/Gigot - One of them on the bench at SO / SH.
Roughly, im guessing...
I know i've made a mistake somewhere.. Not sure where.
Gigot is a must play imo.
Would like May to play, but we don't need him to play, Gafa needs to step up imo.
But very weak squad. We could win if we are commited and the lads give it their all.
Trust

| Now is the time for the young guns to step up to Super League and all the talk about Quins junior development to be backed up. Win, lose or draw, we must put in a really spirited perfomance and dont forget points difference !
I cant see beyond
Melling
Wells
Gafa
Clubb
Sharp
Gigot (altho having a bloke who apparently cant speak English as a pivot ....)
Gale
Ward
Kaye
Temata
Robinson
Esders
Golden
Skee
Williams
LMS
Haggerty
Fingers crossed !

| There are big question are over levels of expereince, but I suspect neither Gigot or Skee will look out of place skill wise.
Skee is very good at taking the ball to the line and delaying the pass til the very last moment to put players through gaps, he also has quite a creative short kicking game. He is not particularly fast, but is fairly active in looking to push up in support.
Gigot has a huge boot on him (probably can whack the ball further than anyone at the club), he also has a very unpredictable side-step and is quite a handy goal kicker (which may be important with Purdham/Orr out). He is a little exposed at times in defence though.

Maybe we could get a 40/20 from him if nothing else. We will need to keep the French pinned well back in their half so this could be our most important weapon.
