if you're going to the skolars, or were thinking about it, why not also stay there afterwards and take in the Quins Cats game too.

| To be honest, if anyone is going to a pub to watch the Quins/Cats game, they should do it at the Bloomsbury - it's an important potential development for the club to have "our pub".

watching my side get hammered week in week out is bad enough without compounding the misery by watching the Skolars get mullered as well. 57-11 is the agregated score in Champ1 this year for the skolars........that's torture. I admire the 300 hardy souls who turn up week in week out, but that's too much like self harm for my liking.

fence sitting has never been a problem in the gutterfax household
Seriously....something is very wrong at Skolars and as much as I admire them...it needs sorting out sharpish. We have enough problems of our own in TW2 to be worrying about travelling across town to watch them getting mullered week in week out. Still, at least the 2,000 that turn up to the challenge cup eve game will see some tries

| I am fully supportive re the Bloomsbury project but it is not realistic to expect fans who live in say East or North London to trek to TW2 to watch the game. Most fans who don't travel away have a ritual built up over 13 years of Sky games and are unlikely to change this ritual unless they live within say 30 minutes travel time of the Bloomsbury. It would be great if the Bloomsbury and the club stuck a big banner outside the put to attract NEW fans to the pub and the game, instead of trying to make existing fans feel guilty for not making a 3 hr round trip to TW2. There are quite a few Quins fans who watch both sides and may take up the Skolars offer. No contradiction in my mind. Roll on the day when we have lots of RL pubs all over London, the fact that we have two is a great start.
A big thanks for the people who have done the deal with the Bloomsbury, this is just the sort of thing we need to do.

Dunno, but now we have the majesty of the Bloomsbury I believe we should gather the hordes there and and hail our heroes as they leave this spectred isle to do battle with the dreaded Frenchies...

WHY?
Trains from Waterloo serve 2 stations within 500 yards...3 bus routes that I can find and with the game KO at 6.30..... plenty of time to quaff ale and chew the fat after the game and get home. Yes, I now reside in Ealing....but that still takes 3 bus journeys and an hour to get there as well as staggering home afterwards.
On the TFL site, Cockfosters to Fulwell station shows as a 1hr 19 minute journey..........not too bad IMO.....especially as the same site shows Ealing to Fulwell taking 1hr 22 mins.

| Seriously, why would I travel an hour and a half (bit further from Cockfosters) and back to watch the game on TV, even if I didn't have Sky and my local wouldn't show it?
I'd probably just go to more away games if I wanted to do that kind of travel. Actually, there's a thought....

Reeling
Stunned is the best way to put it. I can get an E8, then a 267 from Brentford and then another bus to the pub. Took me about 1 hr for the wigan game....but who am I to argue with TFL.....
