| ....posters on the Network Rail system and a viral campaign that...well, as far as I can make out, didn't get viewed by many people other than EXISTING FANS
Catalans (2,971), Huddersfield (2,800) and Salford (2,663) up next.......
So, as radical as this may seem....why not sell tickets to a St Patricks Day Bash (salford game March 14th...1st home game after storm) at the Storm game? £5 a ticket, cash sales only...........Irish Bands, Guinness Promotions etc etc....
I applaud the efforts being made by the marketing team, but I believe 5,000 oyster card holders are about as much use as a chocolate teapot and a complete waste of money. Are they a good use of funds...can they be monitored/assessed for effectiveness.....will they add 1 fan to a gate? Mmmm...let's see.
If you target a game to run a loss (financial) at, then you target a game we might win and Salford looks increasingly like our first chance of competition points this year.

| You should be trying to attract the massive Australian community in London to your home games not the Irish. Guinness? Most people stopped drinking that back in the late 1980's!!
As for your idea about getting Irish bands to your ground, I think Westlife, U2 and Stiff Little Fingers are all busy

Gutterfax's post or my reply?
Why would you want to try and get the Irish along? You play Rugby League not hurling or Gaelic football! More Australians are into Rugby League than the Irish are. London is full of Australians. Try and attract them to your games maybe?
I stand by my comments about Guinness

Your reply. Every ignorant Northener with no idea about anything trots out the Australian line.
Your comments about Guinness are so wide of the mark its funny, but then I suppose its normal for you.

But the Irish community in London tend to be at their strongest in the North West? And your club is...South West? And of course they are more into Union than league...hence the union side 'London Irish'? I would also suggest Gaelic football is more popular with the Irish community than Rugby League. So with respect it looks like the OP doesnt really have much of an idea about who to target. Sure, other people like St Paddys day. But I'm not sure why they would want to spend it at Twickenham Stoop.
We have Australians living not far from me and they are all massive league fans. It's bound to be the same in London.

What are you rambling on about? Where has the OP mentioned anything to do with the Irish community? Do you think all of the people celebrating St Patricks day in bars around England are Irish? Well done for spectacularly missing the point.

I have already said other nationalities like St Paddys day. but then again Australia day is also popular with other people than Australians. But it's fair to say the MAJORITY of people who celebrate St Patricks day are Irish or at least have Irish ancestry.
You are missing my point I think. To get bigger crowds to your place you need to target the people that would be most likely to come back again. Selling Guinness at 50p off a pint, blowing up some green balloons and having a few people riverdancing on the pitch isn't going to bring them back again is it?

You get funnier and funnier!!

You do know where London Irish play their home games don't you?
You do know where they played their home games for a short period before this don't you?
You do know where their home ground was before all of these moves don't you?
You do also know where the London Irish Amateur RFC club play their home games don't you?
Small clue, the answers are not North London.
