| Who at the club is responsible for growing the crowd (to 5,000 target) ? This role doesn't seem to cover that.

| Not sure how many of the key skills the Monkey managed to tick!!
Rather have someone with common sense than a degree if they have the ability to do the job.
If we don't have any excitement over signing players maybe this is next best thing.

| Look on the positive side, at least they are looking to employ a professional in the role, something we have all been asking for.
Of course jury is out on whether DH will appoint the right person, and to be honest the horse has bolted out of the stable a long time ago on this, but for once at least they are looking to get somebody suitable in.
Now if only they would do the same for the coaching position, but hey we can live and hope

| 2 things occur to me on this.
1) if the current CM is leaving end of March that is a tight turnaround.
2) what’s the plan? Are we sticking as is or is the new CM going to do new stuff? If the latter then its difficult to see the path for that bearing in mind that between April 3 and July 3 we have only two home games and one of those is a night fixture where attendance is always down and, of course, by then we could very easily be 0-7- a difficult sell. To me the most attractive batch of games that we could push via adverts etc take place in August and September but by then the season is over bar the shouting so seems a funny time to try a re-relaunch or reinvigoration.

| It's nothing less than we've come to expect from the Hughes Menagerie though.

This is why sharing with Dons (any football club) is a bad idea, you lose all those home games while the football club is relaying the pitch. TBF we had to do this at the stoop as well, but I don't think it was a 5 week gap when at the stoop, I only remember one game on the road per season

| Think you are right Crash as a rugby pitch would need far less doing to it. How interest for new fans would be maintained over that large period i don't know. Maybe Hughes hopes we won't have any fans by then.

| I used to actually enjoy those games
Hull in South Wales
Can't remember who we played in Leicester
Think we also played at Orient and Gillingham
I'm sure there was more
Who can remember all those grounds, I'm sure I can recollect more than 4 (did we play at wasps once)? but the old memory is leaking and I can't remember them all

| Widnes at Aberavon. Bradford at Wycombe. Warrington in Carcassonne. Batley at Crawley Town. Catalans? at Esher RU. I suspect I've missed a few out still.

We played at Newport against Warrington I believe. At Aberavon against Bradford. Bridgend we played Hull FC.Bradford again at Leicester, Brisbane Rd and also at Tynecastle in Edinburgh.
Gillingham twice. Carcassone too.
We sure did get around. Those were the days.

Swapping deckchairs on the Titanic....will they never f€¥√ng learn
Richard whiting is firesaleing(sic) the Bradford cup game sponsorship for £650 including a box and 12 CC final tickets......he's outta his depth.
Hughes needs to go.......sooner he leaves the deadwood at the top can't steal a wage any more
Edit: ive just read the job description. Basically, they want someone to sell matchday sponsorship, player sponsorship, corporate hospitality and shirt sponsorship for a team getting hammered at home in front of an ever decreasing audience.
Here's a thought.
Why not employ someone who can work to attract 5,000 fans to games, delivering 1.2 million a year in gate receipts rather than leveraging their old mates at Hull Trains to try and help them hit targets?
5,000 fans is attractive to sponsors......having your logo beside the coach company that transports the players to away games in Cumbria not so much.
Lobster has had his time. He can't see what's needed and as such i predict a sub 500 crowd for a league game this year.
We are a small club. We don't need a CEO. We don't need a commercial Manager. What we need is a general manager and a team of 4 or 5 keen and eager youngsters to coordinate 13 home games as events.....13 reasons to come to the game.....what we have is sticks in the ground and a begging letter from a useless owner.

| Why on earth would anyone with a decent CV go anywhere near the Broncos? Five minutes research would show just how badly run the club is, and ten minutes would leave you fairly convinced that the club is in its final months. Only the desperate would apply.

Perpignan (now Catalans) in Perpignan (pre season friendly). Wine Tasting the day after the game which was a great day out. Leeds in Perpignan.
