The thing is that times have changed. Lovely as the Cowgirls were. I would say they would be quite controversial today.
What has to be done now is to be creative and find new things to attract and retain new fans.
Following Toronto's success with Beer festivals, they will be popping up left right and centre throughout the sport next season.
Finding the next new thing will not be easy but it can be done. You do need the right people and the finances to implement it though.

You are no doubt spot on Vic about Cassie & the girls but the Griffin used to buzz pre & post match. The nearest pub is the Corner Pin so maybe the Broncos should go on a charm offensive with them if we stick with PL.

I have to agree Deadcowboys.There was a real buzz there and our time at Griffin Park was really a enjoyable time,
The club will have its work cut out to get close to it a Wimbledon, but they have to try.
It will need to be properly resourced, if it is to work. I hope it does.

I suggested it a couple.of years back. There used to be a big CAMRA event each year in the Ealing town hall and the layout of trailfinders as it was at the time suited a beer festival type arrangement.
Looking at plough lane from a layout perspective, it depends on the depth of the concourse, but you really need a view of the pitch...

No chance of a beer festival at Ealing:ground.
It was a tied bar I believe (Greene King last I heard.)
