We have been allocated James Child to referee our game on Sunday. It appears he is being punished for his previous performances in Super League. Therefore he has been relegated to the Championship for another week.
Still having what is considered one of the top refs cannot be a bad thing.

Think punished is a bit of a harsh way of looking at it! He has no doubt been dropped from SL this week but he has been given the top fixture in the championship this weekend.
Can’t be bad though having an elite ref fr the game.

Mr Childs has been refereeing Championship games for the last couple of weeks.
Not complaining about having him, he is far superior many that we suffer.

Maybe he will be too good a ref for us! Have had a player accuse a Refs of that before, said that the game was reffed at a higher standard than the players were used to, most odd.
Looking forward to Sunday , hoping the boys can put in a good performance and send the northerners home sulking.

Im hoping he does not over compensate for what he thinks might be a slower level. We want a nice quick game and hopefully a shock victory and 2nd place still in sight.

Can get Halifax +4.5 on Bet365. Everything pointing to a tight game. Fax travelled the day before the game so hopefully shouldnt get caught out like in the Toronto and Toulouse games.

To be honest Toronto have never had to travel really. All teams are going to beaten over there due to jet lag and probably beaten the following weekend for the same reason. Most of the championship teams are young lads who have to work and fir training and matches into their spare time so Toulouse and Toronto are a massive energy sap for them. Unfair advantage to Toronto. But the RFL want them in SL come hell or high water and are making sure this happens.
