I just wonder how Gus gets these jobs. They only need to put up the You Tube clip of when he took over as Zimbabwe fielding coach, to see how good he is.

Maybe sit back and see what happens is the best approach, if it all goes pear shaped then it's a lot if "I told you so" but if it goes well I suspect there will be a lot if silence!
He obviously has some skills that appeal.

How do we want to judge This? Thus year they finished second from bottom so pretty poor, if they finish mid table next year, success? 3 from bottom success?
If they do well then do we look back at the Bus years and go, ah it was not his fault then

He's managing director not head coach so his primary points for judgement have very little to do with league position.

He is presumably responsible for financial performance, driving gates, community engagement, will probably be targeted on driving sponsorship, non match day revenue and so on.

Frankly however he does at Worcester will have no impact at all on how his performance at London is judged by history.

On the evidence we saw I wish Worcester and their fans well.

If Gus has one skill then it's clearly pulling the wool over the eyes of sports club chairmen!
Will keep half an eye on this out of curiosity, but like Theresa May's Brexit negotiations, I can't see it ending well!

I think with Gus he talks a good job, therefore club chairmen get fooled into believing that he would be a good appointment.
It will not take long for him to be found to be out of his depth, having alienated both fans and staff. I cannot see him being there this time next year.

Yeah, we'll all just forget about the untold damage he caused our club - like the fact we're out of the top flight, we have probably 500 or so regular fans, and we play in what is basically a park with ideas above it's station.
Sure, time to move on.

Slightly confusing message there Rob, I did ask the question of how we should judge his time at Worcester to get told he was nothing to do with coaching etc, so on field performance nothing to do with him, ergo our drop from top flight could not be blamed on him he had nothing to do with coaching and team performance
