| Dear all
I still remember the vitriol heaped upon me when I posted on here
There were 543 fans to witness the Sheffield home defeat
543 to witness a full time professional outfit lose YET AGAIN
Those players have been mocking you year after year after year
Isn't it about time you said enough is enough?
Nearly everyone has walked away apart from a few hundred of you because they have been sickened to their stomachs
Those players out there should be subjected to nothing but scorn and derision. They are full time and mocking you!

| Thank you for your opinion.
Assume you don't go to the games anymore, jolly good good for you. Sickened to there stomachs is a dramatic statement, think you will find its down to an apathy and the fact sports fans tend to like watching winners rather than a violent sickness.
Of course the players go on the pitch fully intending to lose with the intention of "mocking" the fans.
How would I benefit if I said enough is enough? Rugby league is my sport, broncos are my team win or lose.

| Is this the same Rupe1 who assured us all would be fine when we ceased to be Quins RL as 6000 lapsed Broncos fans were waiting to come back? Talk us through how that one played out......
BTW please don't talk for me when declaring why people have stopped going. It's an open secret I have an Oxford season ticket and wasn't there yesterday (I'm 200 miles from The Hive at the moment.) I didn't stop going regularly because I was sickened to the stomach, I just prefer watching Oxford.

| Mock from afar if you like. But to understand the result you need to be there, which by your own admission you were not.
Following the Broncos is a roller coaster ride, so at the moment we are going down. But as a true fan I believe things will turn round,
Do not know when, but that is what I believe.
If you choose too follow Oxford , fine. They need supporters too. Your choice.
Don't knock the crowd, whilst our crowds are not good enough, we still have a core who do turn out, are committed and show their love for the club.
The players appreciate this and the fans respond.
Our away game at Doncaster, when our game followed The Donny v Fev game, drew a massive crowd of 366. 80 Plus of those were Broncos fans who had made their own way to the game. I know I travelled 200 miles each way that day. So 543 considering it is Holiday time and it poured with rain all day is what it is.

| I'm not sure the scrambled together squads of this year or even last year can be blamed, they are what they are. It's been a steady decline in terms of support, personnell and everything else since the end of the Lenaghan period and that you have to say is down to Davis Hughes, the paradox being, without him, the club wouldn't exist anyway.

I'm not mocking. I do still watch Broncos when games don't clash and would have been there yesterday had I not been 200 miles away for personal reasons. I hope to make a game or two in what remains of the season.
I fully understand what your away crowd do and have huge respect for them. I've done at least 50 Broncos / Quins away games over the years and have done every Oxford away game this season. My last away game with Broncos was Saints midweek last season. I was going to Batley this season as I was at Rochdale the day before, sadly the date switched.
I only mentioned I now watch elsewhere as I'm not best pleased Rupe1 feels able to tell the world why I am not a season ticket holder / regulars attender after 13 years of being one when he's never asked me but prefers to make a sweeping generalisation, which in my case at least is quite simply wrong.
As an aside I'm a rugby league fan first and foremost. I started out at Prescot Panthers and have had season tickets at three clubs (Broncos, Skolars, Oxford.) My loyalty is to the sport given my first club has folded and if I start preferring to watch Broncos I'll be back full time. I will certainly watch at least some games at Ealing next year. You don't don't rid of me that easily.....

That wasn't vitriol....it was a combination of pitty and laughter. You claimed that returning to the bronco's name would deliver thousands of returning fans......we all just felt sorry for you.
Same as when you claimed becoming quins RL would result in thousands less at games.......you never were a very accurate predictor.....just a sad case really.

| Anyway I am sure you clapped your team off when they lost to Swinton Lions the other day. To see them lose by more than a point a minute is quite something.
All 97 of you.

| No I didn't. Just as I chose not to applause some of the more abject Broncos displays over the years. If a team gives their all I'll applaud them, irrespective of the result, but I don't applaud a team that packs up and doesn't try to compete. I will do that irrespective of who I am watching.
Yes Oxford's crowds are worryingly poor. That's a debate for another message board however.

I once fitted into both categories
rupe1 isn't a troll, he is just an utter moron.

Catch my band, Sacrilege - dates at //www.sacrilegenwobhm.com: |
|
| Yeah - I clapped 'em off on Sunday, which I haven't always done this season. I went to the front and shook a player's hand, which I haven't done at all this season previously.
Thanks to a mountain of injuries, including serious ones in that game, there were some young lads playing at prop who no doubt have never done so before. It was an abysmal game, but I've no complaints with the effort - and I haven't always been able to say that

Staggering.
Broncos were the only full time team in the league not to make the top four and yet you still want to shake a players hand after a home defeat to a part time team!
Don't you think the players should be coming over to you apologizing and offering to buy YOU a drink instead?

If I am sad what does that make you Jim?, the man who metaphorically laminates Broncos attendance figures from history for a veritable onanistic deluge on here.
