| .....the hive aren't interested in the year 2 option in regards to the broncos in 2015. Brave new dawn looking like another complete clusterfffffk!
.......this is not negativity for negativity's sake by the way. It's just what I've heard from a reliable source.

| I thought you said the Hive were onto a winner and pocketting easy money. If so then why would they not want the gravy train to continue? Maybe the predicted crowds just don't justify the costs.
Certainly no sign of this on Saturday or in plans next weekend with the Hall of fame and community day. Be a shame if you are right and I hope it isn't true.
If it is then where next? Share with Skolars on their new pitch?

| When the initial negotiations were underway I heard Barnet wanted two years and London pushed for one, seemingly with a second year option to make it look better for both sides. Looks like that one may have bitten London on the backside.

Indeed I did.........it's a shame you choose to selectively quote though. What I actually said was that the RFL had bribed the hive by giving them a "marketing budget" as well as for th getting all the other income too. I claimed that it was a short term fix put into place to get the SL fixtures fulfilled for 2014......I have seen or heard nothing to prove me wrong.
The club is dead post this year.......Hughes should hang his he's in shame at what he has done....and before anyone claims that Hughes has saved the club....all he's done is spend money in all the wrong areas and ignore advice from every quarter because "it was his club"! The game is bigger than our dying club and certainly bigger than an egotistical oil broker......it is a crying shame what has happened to the club in the last 7 years.......

| I didn't quote so it's hard to claim it was selective.
My point was that if it's the Hive that are pulling the plug as you claim then it's because it's not worth their while for it to continue under the current deal and nothing to do with what the Broncos\RFL want.
I'm sure you are right that the RFLs priority was to get the Broncos through this year. If it is true that the Hive have pulled the plug it will be because the number of people likely to come to a Broncos game and the amount they are prepared to pay is expected to be so low that it no longer becomes worth their while. If the Underhill sale is imminent then it would also mean the cost of the new North stand to house them.
That Broncos are signing up players for next year means that in all probability they intend\intended to continue and I find it hard to see how moving again has any benefits (It's not like they can find a much smaller stadium unless they play at Underhill with the U19s).
I also notice that our chairman hasn't answered a question put to him last month as to whether Broncos will be playing at the Hive next year. Whether this is TK playing hardball to ensure it's worth his while or he just wants out I don't know. Hopefully it's the former and an agreement is reached that means Broncos have a future at the Hive.

| Presumably that will be impacted by the ground grading rules in whatever they call the championship next season.
The better non league football and non professional RU grounds may well fit and would be cheaper than anything that meets SL criteria. I have no idea whether the clubs would be interested but I'm thinking of the likes of Dulwich Hamlet, Wingate and Finchley and Met Police FC plus Rosslyn Park, Richmond and Ealing RUFC's. Back to Esher anyone?

| Will be a terrible shame if true and a further spiral down hill to oblivion. I cannot see Richmond accepting us, Rosslyn Park is difficult to get to - almost feel it would be better to pack it in?
I was actually quite looking forward to next season - to see if we could be competitive at that level.
My only question is how relaible is the "source" and is it just a negotiating technique?

| Agree Richmond is very unlikely given there are already two teams playing there. You'd think they'll need summer for pitch maintenance and I don't think they are short of money so rent won't be that enticing.

Source hasn't been wrong/far wrong on any info over the last few years......I have no reason to doubt its accuracy. As others have said.....TK seems very quiet on the topic, even when asked. The RFL won't be sugar coating 2015 with a marketing budget....so it's over to Hughes.

| The attendances are as good as anything Barnet can muster so I guess Kleanthous isn't impressed with the take up of his cockamamie membership scheme.

That just isn't true.
Take last weekend,
At least 500 of the people there got in free either as kids and parents from local schools, friends and family of players, U19s, U16s or Barnet FC members, several hundred only went because they were offered free food as well. It's also very noticeable that when a crowd declared as 1100 for a Broncos game, it looks significantly smaller than an 1100 crowd for a Barnet game, it has been blatantly obvious to me that the figures have been boosted to ensure the crowd stayed above 1K and some of those games I am still unconvinced there was 1k+ in the ground .
I suspect Barnet FCs average of 1700 represents a 90%+ paying entrance, of which 1350 are home supporters, I would be surprised if Broncos figures of 1200 represent more than 70% who actually paid to get in and of which I doubt more than 5-600 are Broncos fans. So next season with no big clubs coming you are looking at sub 500 crowds imo.
