| In such depressing times for the club, it is worth pondering how many wonderful players have worn a London shirt during the Super League era. I have attempted to assemble the best 18 players who constitute a kind of Hall of Fame for the club.
I have put some players out of their best position (e.g. Richie Barnett as centre instead of full back) in order to accommodate all of the best players in a position that they could fill.
Here is my list. I hope you agree.
[iMark McLinden
Martin Offiah, Richie Barnett, Rob Purdham, Kieran Dixon,
Denis Moran,
Craig Gower
Scott Hill,
Jim Dymock, Lee Hopkins
Steele Retchless, Jason Hetherington, Solomon Haumono[/i
Interchange Henry Paul, Luke Dorn, Bill Peden, Mark Tookey[/i
18th manJulien Rinaldi[/i

No, because they were still potent players in their 2nd best position. e.g. Denis Moran could be tremendously effective at no 6 even though he mostly played at No. 7. Richie Barnett also had skills that made him a very good attacking centre, even if he was more dangerous at full back.

| Richie Barnett's didn't have a favourite position. He liked the defensive side of being a centre and the attacking side of being a fullback. His words, not mine.

| always find "dream Teams" are awaste of time personally......for me, the best london team is the one from 2005....not because of the hammerings they dished out (and received from Leeds + Saints) but because we were competative whilst being ENTERTAINING!
800 Points for....+82 difference (last time we had a + in that column) and the team played like they were enjoying themselves....and a rocking Griffin Park.

Bannister was one of those, talked up by Phil Clarke a couple of months later, Mat Gardner, .... Plenty of others but my memory doesn't work.
Quite a few of them signed by TR. methinks?
And there was the guy we didn't quite sign, did a flit to Widnes while on our pre-season training in Abu Dhabi or similar. Left Widnes mid-season under a cloud, rumoured to have knuckled the coach. Troy summat?
EDIT: Got it - Troy Wozniak.

EDIT
Troy Tempest would have been a better bet. Mind you, he'd have needed a decent half-back to pull the strings.

| I'd include Wayne Evans somewhere, and Scott Cram, and Grant Young. Need a squad rather than a team at this rate.
