1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

| It's good to follow up the work being done in Medway, too often many sports go into an area create interest and then just parachute out, it is all about developing contact with the community even if only a few times a year.

Not this half term, but is it not best to offer support to Medway this time around to make an impact after
the on the road game with a amateur club doing great work?
Currently here on the forum the club will not do right with everyone whatever they do!

They should always be held here as a matter of course.
with others sprinkled around the region.

I have known of several summer camps in the past in and around London and they seem to be a success for the game, they introduce young people to rugby league but we do not seem to be able to tap in yet to building them in supporters of the professional game and our club London Broncos. This happens in the North or happened as rugby league was a way of life, not certain if that is the case completely now as young people have so many interests, not going to the park every night after school with a rugby ball as I did!

The camps have to be regular or not at all.

I thought we had staged them regular! but you can only do it when there is a long half term break
or the summer holidays, they tend to be over a few days. From what I see we do as many if not more than other Super League clubs. Others tend to use a players name like the Paul Sculthorpe Summer School but I think it best we keep it generic to keep the clubs name there in the pu.lic eye whenever we can.

| The camps have not been in West london for a couple of years now !!!
Pretty frustrating to be honest..... It's enough of a trek to get the kids to a home game given the current performances.... And then if they want to go to a camp its the same (if not more) again to travel !!!
I despair some times.

| Just reading this thread and nowhere on your board is it mentioned that a London school has reached the national cup final,Howard and effingham school yr 7 boys will play Castleford academy at wembley stadium before the challenge cup final.
The school had never played rugby league prior to the broncos approaching the school last summer, getting to the final is a huge effort has the cas lads had to go through two completions just to make it to the final 16 national finals.
It just goes to show that the clubs hard work does pay off and I hope the broncos club and fans get behind them the same has we are with are own kids and lets hope for a cracking final.

Agree with the sentiments.
There was this: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=527730&tsmp=1338569063

Though the coach has apparently now gone back to Oz.

There was this:
The kids all play union at local clubs and at school. At that age group the codes are pretty much the same. The Daily Mail Schools comp is much more difficult to do well in.
