| Who was worst?
Skolars
Quins RL
or
Mr Childs (oh no he wasn't the referee, it was someone called Senior!)
Surely Webb and Senior should be done for Child abuse, they bullied him all afternoon!
What a great day!

I don't think Child was that bad tbh, I think a few glaring mistakes that the crowd bagged him for were actually where the touchie wasn't paying attention. There was one particular incident where Eastwood offloaded going down in the tackle and knocked it on, Child gave a 2 man strip and got slated for the mistake, but realistically he couldn't have seen it properly, only the touchie had a good view, and he should have been paying more attention. Obviously there is a question over whether Child simply guessed what had happened because he didn't see it, and how often that kind of chance decision comes up in a game, not least because it raises the issue of whether bigger clubs get a subconscious benefit of the doubt from such incidents?

| Is this thread a wind up? Child bended over backwards for us and we still couldn't win. I'd love to see the penalty count, bet it was massively in our favour.
Who was that idiot in the crowd constantly giving Senior abuse for no reason? He is a cheat? How? It just spurs him on, and it was pretty embarrassing really.
We were awful, score flatters us and Leeds tried their best to lose the game. Taking 2 points just before half time was a disgraceful decision, and taken by McDermott apparently.
Completed sets? I'd say less than 10 all game, including those where we scored. Don't remember any attacking kicks or times when we applied pressure. We would just get near their line, panic, and drop it.
We need some variation in our play - the whole dummy runner with Dorn looping around the back is great, but not if we do it every single time we threaten their line.
Clubb HAS to be dropped next week.

| Skolars were, as they usually are - mildly threatening in attack and schoolboy-ish in defence. I really felt for their full back who was continually exposed. Dennis Tuffour played well for York. I actually wonder if it could be in Skolars best interests to drop down to the Conference now. What does everyone else think?
Mind you, having said that in the first half I felt like singing "It's just like watching Skolars", so bad was our defence. I think Child was, generally OK. He gave an awful lot in our favour at times.
After the superb defensive display last week, it was shocking this week.

I think Child has a very peculiar and pedantic style of refereeing and this description is typical of the sort of incident for which he was giving penalties yesterday. He gave a huge number of penalties for offences in the tackle, most of which I reckon would have been allowed by other referees. I got the feeling he was trying to impress by spotting infringements that weren't really there.
However, I didn't think he favoured one side more than the other overall. There was a phase either side of half time when he seemed to give everything our way, which helped us back into the game, but then Leeds started to benefit from a string of questionable decisions which helped them extend their lead again.
For me we lost the match in the first quarter and have no one to blame for that but ourselves. The first try was a schoolboy error from Clubb; not so much dropping the ball but his lack of concentration in standing still as Smith scooped it up and ran away from him. For the third try Gale's attempt to stop Webb, a man of similar size whom he should have been capable of tackling, was pathetic. We were never likely to win after that, although had Dorn thrown a better pass when breaking clear with seven minutes to go we could have reduced the gap to 28-34.

| Im glad we lost. Any RL fans who sing 'Swing Low Sweet Chariot' dont deserve to see a winning team. And if it catches on my shirt and season ticket are going in the bin.

I wondered what was going on there
Why did the team get a rapturous applause from some sections of the crowd yesterday at full time after they put in that kind of performance? Some people were celebrating like we had just won the Grand Final. 2 points thrown away, any feint hope of playoffs gone, so yeah, well done Quins

| We gave away to many tries!
Ward and Clubb handed them 2 tries-I believe every other try they scored, the set started from a penalty-I can't remember Leeds scoring after receiving the ball in open play.
What was our completion rate? 30% possibly?
I was really hopeful of a win and feel let down

| It's been a while since I've been down, the last being the Melbourne Storm match, of which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Yesterday, though I thought was great with the two games back to back, I know the results didn't go our way, but it was great to see the Skolars at the Stoop who to be honest were defending tightly in the middle but once York got the ball out wide we seemed to be getting caught.
The only downer I had on the whole day was at the final whistle. For some reason the Quins players don't walkover to the fans and clap them, and if they do it's a token gesture whereas both York and Leeds went over to there fans and clap them.
Bring on Wigan in two weeks. I was in my Skolars jersey yesterday, and no sun burn, so an even better day bad by all.
See you soon.

I assumed that it was ironic. Hope I'm right. Even if I am, enough is enough thanks.

| I don't like the song either but it's because the opposition are taking a penalty instead of running with it, and it is conceived that 'it's just like watching union' nothing more than a joke tbh.
I expect the squad will be on punishment chores this week. Leeds played it like a cup-tie we played it like an exhibition game. We do not have the right mentality, if the other team does not roll-over, we do. Simple as that. Leeds were spot on, played the ref and seized on every chance. We cocked it up and then felt sorry for ourselves. We will also get a hiding at Hull KR if we do the same. Story of the season really. It was a shame as there was a bigger crowd who could have been persuaded to come again.
