Every week we lose and we tell ourselves they will turn it round and play some decent stuff next time and get us back on track and low and behold its even worse than before. How can we perform and compete for one half of the season and then collapse into a group of headless chickens who can hold onto the ball, cant catch it, pass it except over peoples heads, dont know what to do with it, dont support the player with the ball, have forgotten how to tackle or even mark their opponents. BM is certainly not telling them to do it. They are pros ffs. I cannot believe how we can play so badly.
When you have players who do this week in week out something is definitely wrong. Are the players shattered from the hard training? Is it really so different from any other clubs?
I would certainly disagree with his recruitment policy. IMO all the succesful teams in SL follow the same pattern. Get quality players in the key positions, No.s 1, 6,7, and 9 and build your team around them. Ideally you produce as many as you can from within, but if you cant you sign them from out side. BM has failed to do that. Only Randall comes close. The opportunity was there when Hill and Marty went. We should have signed a quality half back fro OZ seeing as one wouldnt/cant come down from UP North. Orr is not the player he was at Cas and and doesnt give us anything like a Danny Brough at Wakey, a Dobson at HKR, or a Monaghan at Wire. Sure we cant easily fill all those key positions as we would like, but just to have filled one of them satisfactorily is at the root cause of our problem IMO. There is no one in the key positions to inspire or lead the team out of this defeatist mindset these players all seem to have now.

never have i seen such a poor pack of forwards, although it is hard to tell who are forwards are. Poor old sharp and melling do more carting the ball up then our second row and loose forward combined. I can't get over what has happened to our pack since the great win over hkr. Any ideas?
