| Will someone teach him how to pass? On the rare occasion he decides to share the ball with his team mates he screws it up.

He did indeed carry the ball very well and looked reasonably assured at FB. Bit greedy at times though.

well yeah i agree with that - im not a quins fan but theyve been on sky a few times and im always unsure to which quins team will turn up...
i thought Melling should of started at FB today though, i know your short but surely you had an academy half back instead of putting Gafa there

Agree 100%. I cannot fathom why BMcD did that. But of course he is always right according to some posters on here even when we get beat.

Both Skee and Gigot are half backs. I would have played either rather than Gafa. BM lost his bottle imo

Sharps a winger, nowhere near confident enough all round game to be a full back. Top marks for effort, but man he makes some unforced errors. If he could cut them out he'd be great. It was like watching Mark McLinden with buttered up hands today.

| Commentary said he had suffered some sort of stomach upset prior to this game, well may be that's the answer to his recent dip in form, he needs a good dump before the game.
Impressed with his efforts tonight.

Thanks ever so much for your posting.
At least there are two of us who think our team played well this evening in the circumstances, including Will Sharp.

| Make that three.
Not sure what people were really expecting from us this evening, apart from effort?? Skee didn't look too impressive when he came on and made some mistakes. To suggest he should have been our starting half back is crazy.
It sounds like some people on this site were expecting a Hollywood style game, where May or Skee score the winning try after the Hooter has finished having played like Jonathan Thurston on speed!

Not sure what half of what you are typing about..
But Sharp played well, I agree, he's played FB before, he needs to stop dropping the ball so much, its getting annoying. He makes unforced errors.
One of the times, imo, the ball got punched out. Unlucky there.
He was solid, made some good meters.
I dont agree about Skee with you, he isn't a natural hooker, he was used as hooker while Kaye needed a break. I would of been happy with Skee being our starting half back.
May had a solid game, made a few errors, but thats natural on his debut.

Question for you. Craig Wing. Half back or Hooker?

What relevance is comparing a player of Craig Wing's quality to Dylan Skee?

As someone else has posted, letting Skee start at SO would have been a major confidence boost. Comparing it to throwing him in when the team were clearly going to lose the match is completely different and pointless. I'd rather have him there than Matt "Turnstyle" Gafa who is one of our worst players now.
