| What went wrong in the second half? How much of it was down to the two matches over the Easter period in quick succession? Hull KR showed what a threat they can be in the second half, but in all honesty, they didn't have to do much to win as we were shocking. On the whole, I thought Will Sharp and Purdo had good games. On the second half, well, we might as well have stayed in the dressing room.
It seemed very subdued today. Exceptional volume from the HKR fans.

| I don't think Danny Orr started the second half, which would account for us losing our way going forwards. Dorn was patchy today, Randall didn't seem as effective as usual, Gale looked a little green still. We also lost Heckenburg (again) with an injury so we had less scope for substitutions. And KR were fearsome defensively for the first 20 minutes of the second half, as well as taking their chances well.
Very depressing performance.

| Paid £20 to sit and be ridiculed by a bunch of HKR fans sitting nearby. I asked to sit with the Quins fans but these had apparently all been sold or weren’t available.
Then watched a p*ss poor performance on the pitch, both by Quins and the referee. By the way Mrs Bentham, if there is a Mrs Bentham, if he says its 6 inches then he’s exaggerating.
No wonder fans don't come back!

Can't understand that as there were HKR fans in our section that is meant to be reserved for Quins fans. Probably due to the people selling the tickets at the gates as HKR fans were, apparently, not told what block to sit in and to sit anywhere. There were some in our season ticket seats and they were very rude when asked to move and were very reluctant to do so. Eventually the stewards did begin checking tickets and the HKR fans moved to the North stand. This is very poor for all concerend, Quins and away fans, and something needs to be done about it before the next home game.

Wasn't just me that thought that then. That's the first time I've walked out on a game before the end. It was depressing

So it was a Quinn's stewarding problem, not the fault of the KR fans who sat where they had tickets to sit.

Did any one say it was the fault of the KR fans?

No it was the problem on the gate in the first instance or the ticket office not making it clear which stand the tickets were for and this is what needs to be sorted out first - and a stewarding problem after that so fans are directed to the correct seats. The stewards did nothing till the problem was pointed out to them.

Welcome to The Stoop - The Field of Dreams.......Where Broncos supporters dreams are realised and away supporters dreams are shattered !!!!!
2012 - The Year of The Broncos: |
|
| From what I could work out when I bought my ticket at the ticket office prior to the game today the HKR fans that were queing behind me were asked the exact same question by the ticketing staff that I was "Where would you like to sit"! They were not asked "home or away".
Anyone purchasing from the ticket office were sold East Stand tickets regardless of their allegiance as far as I could tell!!

I was in the north stand but had friends who went in the east stand (they'd paid at the ticket office), they took up their seats in the second block in from the north end as most rovers fans in the east stand did, but I have to say both blocks at the north end of the east stand were practically empty so I can't see any problems with people sitting in other peoples seats. whilst not condoning rudeness, If i'd plonked myself down and was surrounded by empty seats all around and someone came up and demanded I move because those specific chairs were theirs I'd be pretty ruffled also, (apologies if this was not your specific situation)

Mate...as far as I am concerened as long as ST seats weren't being squatted in, people should have been able to sit where they wanted. I was in section AC and it was only 1/2 full at best, so I don't see what the problem is. I fully inderstand that some of your fans didn't want to sit in the North.....ear defenders would have been required

Only when their team got on top in the second half. That's how it sounded to me at the south end of the east stand, anyway.

To be fair, there were about 30 of them who were vocal pretty much all the time. The remainder joined in when they got on top.
FWI, I thought we were the far better side in the first half, but weren't ruthless enough. Second hald, we just didn't turn up. I got that bored that I started counting the fans in the North Stamd and there were about 550...with another 100 or so scattered around the North end of the East....so good turn out from the HKR masssive.
As has been alluded to here a few times, it is getting harder for away teams to bring down many fans as they are now faced with Catalans, Celtic and Quins as potential bank breakers. Still, if they brought 750, then that means we had 2,750 "home fans" at the game...let's hopewe can get these people back
