I wasn't going to post on here anymore (hurrah you cry) but thanks to the generosity of Green Flag I blagged some freebies to Saracens today.

Allianz Park still betrays it's municipal origins somewhat but the overall impression was one of what might have been.

Oh, well.

What might have been? We were set to move there but got stitched up by Saracens and the "old school tie" brigade!

The same as has happened with Brentford's future Lionel Road Station, ie, we were approved as the secondary tenant, only to be stitched up by London Welsh using the "old school tie" forum to screw us over.

A similar thing with the Olympic Hockey Stadia', one of which could have been rented to us, but was dumped in a landfill site instead!

Sorry, CN, but your wrong, Coptal was lost NOT by any of the Club's doing, also, I suspect that whenever a suitable stadium comes up, we do not have a level playing field on which to compete!

And, although I am loathe to be seen to critisise another club, before you mention how well Skolars are doing, they are playing on the Field event area of an Athletics stadium, in the lower mini-league (expansion clubs only) in the bottom half of the third division, with an average gate of 300 odd.

I think the stand at Hemel was part of the Olympics hockey stadium. It certainly came from the site.Would be surprised if other chunks aren't now at non league football clubs etc.

The larger hockey stadium was cut down to make what is now the smaller "National Stadium", the unused sections of that are indeed in use at Hemel, the smaller stadium is in a landfill site!

Now far be it for me to criticise a fellow London Club but whatever you may say about Skolars we dont have to rely on a Rugby Union venue to get our games on. We also have a stand all be it with an athletics track between us and the pitch to contend with, but wherever we sit in that stand we get a clear view of all the pitch markings. We also dont have to fork out out £20 to stand pitch side in a quagmire of mud.Yes we can only dream of getting 653 at our venue unlike our Super League neighbours. Sorry ex Super League neighbours who drew thousands previously. One can only wonder where all those fans went over the years but whatever happened a wedding venue appears now to be sufficient to hold those keen enough to still attend.

Don't disagree with you Pronto I have nothing against Skolars and I don't usually feed the troll, but it's just irritating when people go on and on about the stadiums we "missed out" on when in fact on at least three occassions to my knowledge, we were simply stitched up royally.

Sorry Pronto, big up Skolars all you like, what you cannot do is make up for the crappy part of London you play in.
We used to have season tickets, but after having my spare wheel and wheel trims stolen from the car park on two separate occasions, then some kid threw a brick at my car on White Hart Lane, after leaving a game. That was it, wont even go for friendlies now.

Don't think he was bigging them up, but rather responding to a post slagging them off.

Wood Green may not be the nicest part of London and it certainly isn't the Disneyland where some posters on here live.

That is exactly it. I like to think I am realistic when it comes to the limitations of my club. Bigging them up was not the intention. But I will certainly defend them when justified,

Needless to say sorry to hear of the
damage you were on the receiving end of but I have been fine on the rare occasions I`ve driven over the years.

Sniping at each other is just daft cn must be loving it.
What both bunches of supporters should be looking at is what can be done on a council park.
Lots has been said about ealing and how it can never expand etc, was that not the same situation copthall was in?
