| Is there any at the Stoop? Will we pay to use it? The forecast suggests we may need it.
I remember the season-opener against Bradford being called off the day before two years ago. Lovely sunny day it was, too.

| and we have a near 100% record in playing in the snow! in 31 years we have only lost once in snowy conditions and won on three occasions. IRRC we beat Saints at KR a few years back at the beginning of the season.

| I remember watching Broncos beat Wakey 72-8 in the snow at Griffin Park. I also remember an 8 hour coach journey up to Knowsley Road spent praying that the game wouldn't be postponed. The ground was deemed playable and we beat Saints 6-14. Those are the only 2 games I can remember London playing in the snow and we won them both, so let it snow on Saturday.

| Yeah 10 hour coach journey then a a £60 hackney cab ride home for us. Got in about 3.30 am but it was worth it. Fab day. Got a hug from Ian Lenagan before he was ushered off the pitch by the stewards. Highly amusing (bet they wouldn't do that to him now!)

| Great night that was. Remember being in a service station on the way back 3-30 in the morning and thinking Summer rugby with snow still falling.

| Weather is not looking too clever over the next couple of days, sub zero temperatures and snow a possibility. Hopefully the game is not in doubt...
Does the season normally start this early in Feb? - Is there not a case for shifting the season back a few weeks to start in March and have the GF at the end of Oct??

| From memory there is no under-soil heating and they tried to ward off the weather with some tarpaulin or something the other year and that didn't work. It isn't that cold though - should be alright.

| Beeb's on-line forecast shows temp getting no higher than 2 Thurs-Sat, with frost every night and down to -4 Fri. night. If there's no protection, I'd say the game is at risk.
TV man last night said they weren't sure though and there's a "chance of warmer weather winning" (Met office technical term for "We've got umpteen millions pounds worth of computer power and we still don't know what will happen."icon_wink.gif

Still better than Channel 5's way of forecasting which is sacrifice a sheep to Thor or something like that.

| Just hire some blowers if need be. I don't think the pitch will be frozen at 3pm anyway.
