| They are just about to announce Wigan will play Catalan ON 5th September.
It is at of all places, The New Den.
Must say Mr Lenegan certainly knows how to pick them.
I like a lot of Broncos fans are not happy about this London thing, but best of luck down there.

| Have fun Wigan, I'm sure there'll be a lot of 'Wall fans just back off their holidays looking forward to 'aving a fight wiv some egg chasing Norrvern Monkeys who've pitched up on their manor!!
Presume Lenagan is still attempting to make RL work in London - he couldn't do it with us so now he's looking to open a London branch of the Wigan supporter's club. At least he's making a concession to the Catalans by playing it in the South!

| Millwall is a very odd choice of venue, but maybe Wigan weren't offered much choice by other London clubs (wonder if he tried Quins?).
Perhaps they'll get Louie to make a guest appearance.

| It might put them off of continuing the exercise if it all kicks off with the locals.

| Maybe he has some link to the owner there. As for a ground, when built it was designed with other sports in mind (or so they said) including rugby league. Given transport issues at London Bridge at present it'll tax a few getting there.

You could walk it from Surrey Quays in 15 mins or so but watch yourself along there.

| Anything that promotes RL in London is fine by me. I actually think that Millwall is a better match than Harrow/Richmond or Ealing. They will get a decent gate. Good luck to them.

Unfriendly locals not taking too kindly to anyone from outside an SE16,SE1, SE8 postcode on their manor. A number of away football fans have come a cropper on this route to the Den.

| I know, being a West Ham fan that has seen us play at the Den I know very well how hostile it can be, but this is not a football match day though. As said above, no different to many other areas (and a lot of nice pubs around that way)

Mate have u ever been to the Den ( and I don't mean the old one) as an away fan? I've never seen anything like it - and I've been to some pretty hairy places up and down the country.
Millwall is exceptional - they have a small but incredibly violent group within their hardcore fanbase. Trust me I was brought up and lived in Bermondsey, Rotherhithe for years so no sheltered upbringing here- no other set of football fans come close in their outright loathing of anyone who isn't 'Wall!
It's possible nowt will happen as it isn't football - but I'd be on my guard if I was a Wigan fan just in case.

| Yea many a time as an away fan and its just the same as away at Leeds , boro, man Utd and loads of other areas you don't get mouthy and don't show your intimidated. And has been said it rugby not football , alot of my family still live there and unless I tell them what's going on there I bet they wouldn't have a clue about the game or be interested in it. Cant really see all the millwall firm on the blower to each other arranging a a tear up with a load of Wigan rugby league fans.

| It may open the eyes of a few Northerners whose impressions of the London, might be shattered by a trip to The Den.
